Service
9.7
Service is frequently highlighted as excellent and friendly: professional, polite reception staff, thoughtful gestures (free upgrade, birthday card/dessert), and generally helpful personnel.
Location
8.3
Mixed mentions: convenient for The Mall and Arena/parking and some cite 'top' location or near airport, but several notes that it is not within walking distance of the city center and not well connected to the metro.
Room Quality
9.2
Rooms described as clean, spacious, modern and comfortable (executive suite spacious); a few comments about pillows being too high for some guests.
Amenities
9
Good amenities noted (free underground parking, modern facilities, proximity to shopping mall); minor misses reported such as initial lack of slippers and absence of some toiletries.
Value for Money

The super professional and friendly staff make this hotel perfect whether you are traveling for business or pleasure.
Pros:

I booked a stay at the Novotel Sofia as a surprise birthday gift for my daughter so we could attend a concert at Arena Armeec (Arena 8888 Sofia), and the hotel made the occasion truly magical. The staff went above and beyond by treating us to a free room upgrade. When we walked into our upgraded room, we were greeted with a beautiful complimentary dessert plate and a thoughtful Happy Birthday card for her. This made her 16th birthday even more memorable for her!
The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax before and after the show. As an added bonus, the hotel features free underground parking which made driving into the city completely stress-free. It is also located right next to The Mall, which was incredibly convenient for a quick bite and some shopping before the event.
It is not in the city center but the proximity to the arena, the ease of parking, and the hotel's incredible service and attention to detail made this trip an unforgettable celebration. We highly recommend Novotel Sofia for anyone visiting Sofia for an event or special occasion, and we will definitely be back!
