Centrally based in town. Limited car parking spaces.
Shower screen in bathroom too short, water went everywhere!
Adjoining room had TV on full blast at 2am. Other side loud telephone conversation.
The doorway was lovely.
Wasn't allowed to my room because I arrived slightly late, leaving me stranded late at night. Bloke at the counter was as much use as a chocolate fire guard and couldn't have cared less. £53 for a walk through the doorway, and then back.
Staff were friendly
Hotel was nothing like I expected. Holes in the walls, fixtures missing, dirty walls etc. certainly not like any Mercure I've stayed in before.
Good location, pleasant staff, good breakfast except for lack of fruit juice.
Very hot room. Though cooler outside (and in the corridor which had properly opening windows) the security wire on the one opening window pane meant its opening was totally inadequate and too high up for the fan provided to be used to draw in air. There must surely be some way the windows can be modified to allow in more air without compromising security, perhaps more opening panels?
Also more lighting in the main part of the room would be nice, it was extremely dim apart from by the door.
Facilities
Staff were really friendly , location was great , the double room we had was comfortable and clean , breakfast was really good , good choice, the gentleman who was working dad was very helpful and really nice
