Great stay. Lots of nearby attractions.
Pros:

Friendly breakfast staff. Friendly hotel staff. Great location.

Cons:

No microwaves in room, but was able to request one and problem was solved.

Stay was okey but the comfort room was a disappointment.
Pros:

The location is at the heart of the city. Very convenient. Restaurants, shopping centers and tourist destinations are within reach… very accessible indeed.

Cons:

I really don’t like the setting of the toilet. The water was pooling in the whole toilet area. After showering we felt like we don’t want to use anymore due to the improper drainage system.

Another great Hyatt
Pros:

Excellent location near the Riverwalk and many many appealing restaurants. The neighbourhood is vibrant clean and fascinating to walk through. Gracie at the front desk was extremely pleasant and super helpful and is one of the reasons we’ll return.

Nice hotel in vibrant neighborhood. Highly recommend!
Pros:

Nice hotel with comfortable spacious rooms. Room was quiet. Clean and bed comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good free breakfast with lots of options. Only downside is valet parking very expensive at 74 dollars. Nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants and boutique stores. Would highly recommend.

Loved everything. This is our second time staying in this hitel (2021, now 2026) and would love to stay here again once
Pros:

Excellent location and facilities. The room we had was extremely spacious and comfortable. It felt like you had your own little living room. We LOVE the breakfast included in the price of the stay. So much variety and the restaurant space is absolutely lovely.

Cons:

The rooms are a bit outdated, would definitely benefit from a renovation. But it served its purpose. I found that the desk was too large and took a lot of space too. The AC was a bit inconsistent. No matter what temperature you selected, it could turn warm or “nice” cold. It was a gamble LOL But we just tweaked it often until we got to the temperature we wanted. There also seemed to be some issues the last days of our stay with the electricity and breakfast was limited on our last morning. But there still was plenty of food to select from. These are minor things that didn’t really have any negative impacts on our stay.

Always a Great Stay at the Hyatt River North
Pros:

I always have a good experience staying at the Hyatt Place River North! The valet parking is so convenient and the hotel staff is always helpful and friendly. I usually opt for a room with a city view, which is worth a little extra in my opinion. And the onsite restaurant is so so good!

Wow! A Genuine Anniversary Surprise in River North
Pros:

We stayed at the Hyatt Place River North to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary, and the team here made it truly special from the moment we walked in. We’d let the general manager Heather know in advance about the occasion, and she went above and beyond…our room had celebratory balloons plus a split of prosecco and scones waiting for us. It’s the kind of detail that tells you the staff actually cares, not just checks a box.

Heather also polled her team for a local non-touristy restaurant recommendation, and they steered us to Gretel, an excellent spot with one of the best high-end burgers we’ve had in a while.

The front desk team was consistently warm. Taiwan and Amy both stood out for genuine friendliness and our housekeeper Norma left a lovely welcome note on day one. Extra towels were delivered promptly every time we asked, no hassle.

As for the property itself: the lobby flows right into a trendy restaurant, giving the whole space a lively, social energy that’s a nice departure from the typical Hyatt Place feel. Even during a busy holiday week packed with young families, the public areas stayed clean and well-kept.

If you want a hotel that treats a special occasion like it actually matters, stay here. We’ll be back.
