Was not advised there spa facilities were only accessible during business hours which not useful as that is when you are out visiting the local area. Also not clear how separate this was from main building. There was minor damages in the bathroom. There was no connecting walkway between mews and hotel so felt trapped in mews during heavy rain
This hotel is outstanding in every aspect. It was a last minute booking for us but we were so pleased that e stayed.
The hotel is an historical mansion and the decor represents this. The room has very comfortable and the views amazing.
Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and worthy of its Michelin rating.
If you are traveling through the Cotswolds make sure this hotel is on your list.
Lovely hotel have stayed before
Not enough staff on duty having to wait 20 minutes plus to be served at the bar
Stayed in a beauriful room but very tired
Shower in above room had leaked all on to the oak ceiling water marks
Needs decorating
All wood needs varnishing
We stayed only one night, but the hotel is just soo beautiful, incl. the grounds. The room was lovely too, very comfortable! The food in the restaurant? Delicious!
It’s a lovely hotel… nice features, quiet even though above a main road. Booked a suite which was excellent.
As we were above reception and the bar found it a little noisy.
Beautiful lounges and terrace
Customer service at both reception and restaurant wasn’t great. Lacked welcome, friendliness and poor information given
Everything, staff grounds food
Everything was good no complaints
Nothing

Breakfast was well-cooked and a nice selection of continental options. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed. The grounds were well-maintained and it was very nice to explore them. Staff were kind (if rushed by the volume of guests). We enjoyed a drink from the bar and sitting outside.
We stayed on a warm weekend and the room (in Pear Tree Mews) heated up uncomfortably. The nearest plug sockets meant that the fan was placed some distance from the bed, so even with the window open the heat remained very uncomfortable. Other rooms in the hotel have air conditioning but not ours. Hot nights like this are only getting more common and the hotel needs to invest in better solutions. Other little issues with the stay - red staining (I very much hope not blood) on the net curtain. The television did not work. The cord on the kettle was so short, combined with the placement of plug sockets, meant that it could only be boiled on the floor. These are issues for a hotel of this price and a 4-star rating.
Nice old building with character and nice grounds.
For the price I would have expected the accommodation within the ‘Pear Tree Mews’ outbuildings to be air-conditioned rather than just provide a desk fan. The room was very hot and stuffy which the fan did not alleviate. Although the Hotel provided shower gel this ran out half-way through my shower which makes me believe that the container (which was bolted to the wall) had not been checked when the room was cleaned?
