Fairfield Inn and Suites Chicago Downtown-River North

This hotel is excellent, centrally located in downtown and plenty of good restaurants and amenities around it.
Jose at the reception is doing a fantastic job, very friendly, professional, helpful, and has excellent communication skills in addition he is very well customer oriented. He helped us with all questions we have since it was our first time in Chicago and open nice conversation with customers and a pleasure to deal with.

Upon checking make sure you request room cleaning/housekeeping if you need it, and precise which dates exactly.

We used valet parking for the duration of our stay to avoid dealing with other options.

The rooms and the hotel is modern, no issue. Amenities in the bathroom, include shampoo, conditioner and body wash, plus soap bar, and hair dryer.
Small fridge available in the room. Bottle of filtered water for $9.00 so make sure you bring what you need from outside.

Breakfast included, but don’t rely on it if you want something better, and i recommend exploring outside, including a close by drive-thru McDonald’s that is open 24/7 serving breakfast.
There are floors with ice machines, so if you like a cold drink, ask for a room at same floor of the machine.

We booked online the big bus tour for one day pass, the bus has 11 stops and stop # 11 is close to the hotel. So you can take the bus there and go until it starts the route from stop # 1.

We are pleased with our stay and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chicago.

Fairfield Inn Chicago River North is a fantastic place to stay. It’s in a perfect location to walk to attractions and to get to the subway. The front desk agents were very friendly and helpful. Fannie and Javier were phenomenal hosts for the breakfast service. They made sure everyone had what they needed, and were full of helpful information about how to get around the city. Highly recommend staying here!

Just completed a 3-night stay at this hotel as we came into town to see the Cubs play the Mets.

Best Pro: Javier and Fannie at the complimentry breakfast. They did an EXCELLENT job at greeting everyone when they walked in, keeping food well stocked, keeping the counter clean, and cleaning up the tables quickly. In addition, they came by to ask if we needed anything. I have stayed at many similiar hotels with this offering, they are the two best. Give them a raise!

Pros: Convenient to transit to get to Wrigley, very friendly front desk staff that greated us leaving and entering the hotel and provied various recommendations, great location near so many food choices and a really nice part of town, and clean rooms.

Cons: Across the street from a fire station and when they rolled out one night at 3 am, we were up for a while. But, I am a light sleeper.

All in all, a good decison to stay here and would again.

Location is very good and staff is very polite, but the price for this hotel with it’s convenience very high.

This hotel was nice and clean and well priced. Literally the ONLY issue was that it was right across from the fire station, so I was affected as a light sleeper (the family was overall fine). The breakfast attendants were the nicest I've ever encountered, and housekeeping was fantastic. Front desk attendants were very friendly too. Room was big for a city location, with queen beds, and the front lobby had lots of space to sit.
The location was otherwise very convenient to the loop and the Mag mile in Chicago, and we were able to walk everywhere, and could've easily taken the El had we needed to venture out further. Breakfast was good, although I would appreciate more granola toppings and daily bananas. The parking ($60/night, doubt we could've done better) was about a block away.
