The shower head was broken it was so awkward to shower and the bath looked stained and too dirty to have a bath
It was not very comfortable
We had a wonderful stay! The location is excellent—just a short walk from Sydney Tower, and it's very convenient to get here from the airport, with only about a 30-minute train ride. It was also easy to visit many of Sydney's main attractions, including the Opera House, QVB, Darling Harbour, Surry Hills, Potts Point, and the Fish Market.
The front desk staff were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the housekeeping team kept the room very clean throughout our stay. One of our favorite features was the large bathtub, which was perfect for relaxing after a full day of sightseeing.
There are a few areas that could be improved. The room has a dark interior design, and the lighting could be brighter, making the space feel more comfortable. Because of the dark color scheme, dust is also more noticeable.
The shower design allows water to splash onto the bathroom floor quite easily, and the sink is rather shallow, causing water to splash onto the countertop and surrounding area when washing up.
The minibar also occupied most of the fridge space, leaving very little room to store our own drinks or food, which was a bit inconvenient for longer stays.
Spacious room with very comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom
Nothing
First time amazing eclectic personable staff ….. second time revolting stood waiting to check on over 5 mins dulling passive woman turned up hated ne and I couldn’t stand her ….. no comparison never going back. Hotel has great vibe beautifully decked out great bar and restaurant we spent loads …… not going back. Way better in cbd just as funky look after clients that are regulars. Try it for the experience you get great staff you’ll have a great stay.!young eclectic staff complete lack of training with attitude. Massive attitude. Didn’t have my diamonds on !!!!
Reception beyond pathetic over 5 minutes waiting while the idiot spoke into his microphone and the lemon sucker came out …… no thanks
Location and a well stocked mini bar
The staff attitude, the darkness of the interior, the cleanliness off the air conditioning and the overall cleanliness of the fittings
The bed was super comfortable and the room was very spacious. Bathroom was spacious and accomodating too
The overall theme
NA
Perfect location for shopping and roaming around Sydney. Fantastic bed!
Bathrooms let the room down with poor designed, wet floors after the shower, bath too small, no toilet privacy, not enough towels. TV redundant due to terrible channel and movie options.
The hotel is in a great location, with a light rail stop a short walk away that took you straight to central quay where you could walk to the famous opera house, catch a ferry or bus to Bondi, a ferry to Tauranga Zoo or take a short walk to the old historical district and walk around the bay towards Darling Harbour. The hotel had a French style themed restaurant on the ground floor which served excellent food and drinks. The reception area of the 1st floor was an elegant area where you could sit and relax and the staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times.
As the building used to be a department store now hotel some of the modern features with a hotel were missing like heated bathroom floors, heated towel rails, but overall the room was very nice albeit a bit cold sometimes with large windows that were probably department windows but overall the standard of finish was good, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was large with shower and bath although their seemed to be a crack in the bath which put us off using it which was a shame as a bath would have been nice after so much walking around Sydney. We didn’t complain about the bath. The shower screen was also too short which meant some shower water went onto the main floor of the bathroom.
