Important information:

1.The Duke Hotel is a small family-run pub, restaurant with rooms. We do not have a 24h reception desk and Check-in is availible at the bar counter during opening hours.

2.The Duchess Lounge (our breakfast facility for the rooms) is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Therefore, if you stay on Sunday evening, breakfast will not be provided on Monday morning.

3.The pub and restaurant are open Wednesday through Saturday from 12 pm to 11 pm and Sunday from 12 pm to 4 pm (kitchen), and the bar closes at 5 pm. We recommend having a quick look at our website for more information, and we hope you will enjoy your stay.

4. Please note: If you book a stay on Sunday, be aware that the pub and restaurant close at 5 PM. As the property is closed on Monday and Tuesday, breakfast will not be available on Monday morning for guests staying Sunday night.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.
Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

A lovely chic and cosy country getaway.
Pros:

The decor was beautiful and artistic and there were so many nice little touches to make the room homely and comfortable.

Incredible rooms, food and service.
Pros:

A very well decorated boutique hotel with excellent food options and incredible service. Breakfast was included and had a range of options including pastries, full English and veggie options. The evening menu isn't your standard hotel / pub food, but their are some classic options too. I would stay here again just so we can come back for a meal.

Cons:

We visited during a heatwave and unfortunately the rooms don't have air-conditioning (due to it bing listed I guess). But fans were provided and everything else made up for it.

A lovely boutique hotel. Excellent accommodation, food & staff.
Pros:

Room was excellent, well equipped with some additional extras. Food in the restaurant was amazing and staff very attentive, friendly and professional. Breakfast was also really good. We had a lovely stay and would visit again.

Pros:

Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly.

Cons:

The coffee machine didn’t work properly. The evening menu was not what I would have chosen and had chzz xx need from when I first checked out the hotel.

The hotel waa lovely - the rooms were clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities. Staff were friendly

Cons:

Our room was overlooking the garden and was near a main road so it was very noisy. - obviously not the fault of the hotel but I didn't find it very peaceful. I also felt it was over priced compared with other places I have stayed

Lovely team, excellent food.
Pros:

It was convenient for the course we were attending nearby. The welcome from the team and level of service was excellent from the owners to the young waiting staff. The food was exceptional, evening meal and breakfast.

Hidden Gem in Rural Wiltshire.
Pros:

Staff very welcoming and our room very comfortable - biggest bed I've every slept in.
Great to see a restaurant so full, especially in such a rural area, but you can understand why - the food was excellent with service to match.
Breakfast in the attached Coach House was substantial and set us up well for our Garden Tour at nearby Bowood House.
An all-round hidden gem which deserves and appears to be doing very well. Well done.
