Great Hotel, beautiful town
Pros:

Great hotel with great views of the Mont Blanc chain (fyi, you can't see Mont Blanc, but the view is still amazing!) A little less tourist-y than other places we visited in Italy. We had to learn to ride the bus in order to hike, and it was tricky to find a variety of restaurants in town. The rooms are charming and very "alpine". Spoiled Americans will find no air conditioning in this town! It was plenty cool with the windows open but the traffic noises made it a bit hard to sleep. Our room had a phantom light that would turn on in the middle of the night, which was not ideal. We didn't report it, so we can't fault them for not fixing it. We chose to shut the door to the area instead. Wonderful, helpful staff!
