Fabulous overall, especially the prompt action of Kavan giving us a good room after our first night.
Pros:

Everything except the aircon on our first night.
I loved the old world ambiance throughout the hotel.
The staff were always friendly, courteous & willing to help.
Loved the Colonial cafe, especially the Hainanese chicken.

A high quality traditional hotel at a very affordable price.
Pros:

Al the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast and dinner were superb - amazing variety, very high quality and freshly prepared. Our room was lovely. We greatly enjoyed swimming in the pool.

Cons:

The only thing I can think of is the need for a better wine option for dinner. The apparent “all you can drink” offer was inappropriate for guests who would like one glass with their meal.

No complaints for a one night stopover with late arrival and early departure
Pros:

We had a very spacious room which was well equipped with a comfortable bed. The buffet dinner was excellent and great value as was the breakfast. We literally just stayed for the night so can't comment otherwise.

Cons:

The only thing I would say is that perhaps the room felt a little on the tired side.

Pros:

Very well managed property with dedicated staff and sufficient amenities

Cons:

May be a little far from city centre for some people but the advantage of that is the area is a lot quieter
