I was extremely disappointed with my stay. It started with a rude receptionist—the woman with long hair—and a delayed check-in. To be fair, everyone else on the staff was nice.

The room was old, dirty, and incredibly small. I booked a room for two people, but it felt cramped even for me alone. The bed was uncomfortable, and there was no soundproofing.

There was no toothbrush, no soap, no hot water, no bathtub, no drinking glasses, and not even a blanket. Breakfast was also poor compared with other hotels I’ve stayed at in Istanbul.

This is nowhere near a four-star hotel in my opinion. Two stars at most, and even that feels generous. It felt more like a cheap hostel for a one-night stay.

I have never written a bad hotel review in my life, but this experience was too disappointing to ignore. Istanbul is such an amazing city, with so many wonderful hotels nearby. I simply don’t understand how this property can be advertised as four stars.

I would never stay here again.

die Lage ist zentral zu Fuss ist alles sehr gut erreichbar. Das Personal ist hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbüffet mit Liebe gedeckt, Frühstücken über den Dächern mit Blick suf Idtanbul und den Bosporus.

Great service, great location, facilities need work.
Pros:

The service was really good, staff was kind and always very friendly whenever we had questions or requests. The location is also amazing, with the Istiklal just behind and plenty of options for dinner and things to do. Also the view of the breakfast bar was great! It was also relatively cheap which is always good ;)

Cons:

The facilities were very dated, in urgent need of renovation: peeling wallpapers, lifting floors, soundproofing not amazing (which is important in such a busy part of town). It didn't meet the expectations of a supposedly 4-star hotel in terms of facilities, our double room had only one bedside table, very cold white lights and nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. We later found out that in Turkey the hotel star system is not the same as the international standard, so something to know for the future. Given how much we paid per night, at the end of the day this was ok, but didn't fully meet our expectations of a 4-star hotel.

Unpleasant, costly, poor quality!

Toilet wasn’t working properly.
No safe in the room.
Breakfast worst of many hotels I have stayed.

Staff not helpful. They were supposed to upgrade my room from 2 to 3 people. But the upgrade room was small. We had to book a second room and pay for it and they refused to refund part of first room. Scam! Booking.com has to deal with this!
