The town is a bit run down, but i expected that so I wasn't too disappointed.

Only stayed one night, en route to Zip World in Snowdonia. Good value as breakfast included. Tired looking in places. Bathroom has been modernised either the exception of flooring and the broken tiles let it down.

Freshly cooked breakfast. Good/large bedroom and bathroom. Quiet location and good parking area.
The location was fine but the hotel was not good. No room service. We stayed for 3 nights but are room was not cleaned and bed sheets were not changed. In the room there was damp all over the ceiling in the bathroom. The shower was not working properly. The fan was not working properly. The hotel was smelly.

The Eagles Hotel is an old-school property with tons of ambiance and character. It also includes all modern facilities needed for a comfortable stay—good heating, solid wifi, good water pressure in the shower, and secure parking. As a plus, a generous freshly-cooked breakfast was included in the price of my stay. The town itself has plenty of restaurants and shops. Even at a late hour, I had access to multiple options for dinner. Very highly recommended for both a short stay or longer-term base when hiking/traveling in Snowdownia!
Lovely situation in the centre of the small town by the river. Comfortable bed, the single room was ideal. Ample parking. A great base to explore the surrounding area. Staff friendly and engaging.

Steep stairs, no lift, no offer to help with bags, not many staff, breakfast basic, waiter unfriendly & never spoke...didn't really know what to do in breakfast room.
He could have looked smarter
