Pros:

The location, breakfast included, friendly staff, roof top deck, nice rooms.

Cons:

Pigeons and their poop on the roof top deck around the swimming pool and outdoor shower area. Recommend a designated staff member to clean the deck daily and something to be done to deter the pigeons from landing and hanging out on the deck..

There was often a shortage of salt at the tables
The bathroom, although completely functional, could use a makeover
Some of the room lights were not working, I believe 2 out of 5 were not working

Pros:

Καλό δωμάτιο σε καλή τοποθεσία. Το πρωινό ήταν εντάξει. Το προσωπικό ήταν φανταστικό

Cons:

Η διακόσμηση ήταν κλασσική με παλιότερα (λίγο ταλαιπωρημενα) έπιπλα αλλά ήταν στο ύφος του ξενοδοχείου

I tried twice to make some own tee but the electricity was shut due to some problems with the kettle. They should have made breakfast boxes on our second and last day.

Nice stay in Rethymno
Pros:

Nice hotel with top roof pool. International mixt cohort, more on the pension side, which may prove challenging sometimes at the pool, if you travel with kids (as we did). Not a biggie though.
The place is like a 5-min walk away from the closest beach, but much closer to shops and restaurants.
No parking is available exclusively for the hotel, but it is free to park on the streets (as long as you can squeeze your car in as one gets out).
Breakfast is buffet style, nice variety, yet little variation from one day to another during our 7-night stay.
Every member of the staff did their best to make our stay perfect and we are thankful to everyone.
Big hugs and thanks to Erica, who was very nice to us and the kids.
Coffee (in Greece and at this hotel as well) is absolutely horrendous (which I knew about so I brought my own from home).

Excellent position between the old city and the beach. Wifi was good. Place was dated, but clean. Aircon worked well. Breakfast had a good selection,.
