You can always rely on Red Carnation making your stay special … the Edgerton is no exception
Great area to stay !
We always stay at a Red Carnation hotel while in London Hotel 41 (many times) Milestone and the Edgerton about 4 or 5 times
Unfortunately no record of our stays are showing on the Edgerton system?
The lovely welcome from Benjamin. All of the staff were nice. A great English breakfast included black pudding! A lovely quiet location with parking nearby. Rooms, while compact, have all of the amenities you would need and more. Very efficient individually-controlled AC.
Nothing
We were going to a concert nearby and having stayed here before, had no hesitation in doing so again. We were given a nice welcome on arrival by Benjamin who took us through to the lounge for a drink as we had arrived early. A little while later Benjamin returned to inform us that our room was ready and escorted us up in the lift.
The rooms are delightful and have every possible amenity including welcome cookies and a hand-written 'welcome back' card. It was nice and cool with individually-controlled AC. When we returned to our room late in the evening we found that we had had the turndown service which included more little treats.
Breakfast was great-good to see that black pudding is still on the excellent Full English breakfast! The servers in the breakfast room were very nice as were all of the staff in the hotel.
We have stayed at several Red Carnation hotels and have always found them to be excellent-we decide on which one to stay at depending on location relative to what we have come to town for.
This traditional hotel has the right blend of formality and friendliness, lovely staff and has a true quality feel.
From the very moment we arrived, we were completely enveloped in the warmth and exceptional hospitality of The Egerton House Hotel. It truly felt like a luxurious "home away from home" from the second we crossed the threshold.
The service here is impeccable. Every single time we entered reception, we were greeted by the gentlemen at the desk, who were consistently welcoming, highly informative, incredibly helpful, and profoundly kind. It is rare to find a team that genuine and attentive.
The thoughtful touches throughout our stay made it extra special. We were treated to a lovely welcome beverage upon arrival, and the treat table—offering delicious sweet bites to take back up to our room—was an absolute delight.
Speaking of the rooms, they had absolutely everything we could have ever asked for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep, and the evening turndown service was executed flawlessly each night.
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit and are already looking forward to our next stay at this cherished London boutique hotel. Thank you to the wonderful team for making our birthday celebration and trip so memorable!
Dear Egerton House, how do we love thee, let us count the ways! We had a beautiful time! Everything was perfectly clean, efficiently run, and everyone on staff was accommodating during our stay. We so enjoyed the front parlor staff that greeted us and kept us informed about directions to walkable locations in the area. We LOVED afternoon tea in the quaint dining area each day. We will tell all our American friends about your superior location and amenities. Till we see you again...
Great staff.
Nothing
Location and comfort. We love the personal service that a smaller boutique hotel offers. We were a little disorganised with our London plans and the staff went out of their way to organise activities and they made great recommendations.
The one disappointment was the evening meal of fish and chips and salad which was below our expectation.
Another stay, this time with my uncle. We had 2 rooms with preference for a seperate shower instead of shower over bath which is more common in new modern hotels but not always in these kind of 5 star boutique hotels. Rooms are well appointed and layout.
Great quiet location, excellent staff in bar and at breakfast. Front office was a bit less attentive.
As a fan of Red Carnation this one is a top choice for your home away from home stay in London at 5-star level.
Untill next time!
Wunderschönes, liebevoll geführtes Hotel. Ganz wunderbarer Service, ein tolles Frühstück. Es war ganz wunderbar. Royal Albert hall etc. in unmittelbarer Fußläufigkeit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were impressed by the high standards throughout the hotel. There is a real sense of quality and attention to detail, from the presentation of the rooms to the overall guest experience.
The staff deserve particular praise, friendly, professional and genuinely engaging throughout our visit. They struck exactly the right balance between efficiency and genuine hospitality.
The location is also excellent, right in the heart of Kensington and within easy walking distance of both the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, making it an ideal base for exploring this wonderful part of London.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay from start to finish. Highly recommended, and we will certainly return in the future.
The Egerton House Hotel was outstanding in every way. What separates it from other hotels is the level of personalized service.
The concierges were both personable and extremely informative. This is a Five Star hotel in every way.
The hotel is absolutely wonderful. Everything was so pretty, luxurious and well decorated. The hotel went above and beyond for my stay (I was staying in London for a ceremony). They kindly upgraded our room to a suite with a lovely view on the streets. The hotel staff were so kind and thoughtful, it was a pleasure to speak with everyone. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom touches were very nice and the breakfast is great. They kindly left us a fruit platter and some shortbread. It was truly magical and I highly recommend this stay.
We absolutely adored The Egerton House Hotel. The staff was exceptional in every way, so very friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. Our every need as travelers was thought of and prepared for. The King room was lovely and quiet albeit small, but typical for London. bedding was luxurious and comfortable, although the bed itself, a little on the hard side. The bathroom was a bit small and we had some trouble with getting the old style toilet to flush adequately, but that was all part of the charm. We enjoyed the daily treats and fruit left in the room and the candy/fruit/nut bar in the hall. We appreciated the Member passes to the V&A that were offered when we mentioned we were going there. The daily breakfast included with our package was probably the best breakfast available in London. The ingredients, selection and culinary skill were top level and we enjoyed that in the dining room and in our room when we were too tired to rise (at no extra charge). It was so plentiful with all the dishes they bring, I don't think we ate lunch more than once all week since we were so full. The cream tea in the front parlor was lovely and the house teas are phenomenal. We also had dinner there one night when returning from a long tour day and enjoyed the chicken pot pies and cocktails in the parlor. We got our steps in daily walking to the Tube station which is about 10 minute walk away, South Kensington or Knightsbridge. This is a posh area of London to stay in, you won't be disappointed if you are traveling with your partner and want an elite experience.
