Boutique hotel Hippocampus is a hotel located in the middle of the Old town of Kotor, surrounded by bars and restaurants. Please note that some of the guests might find this environment noisy. Music is allowed until 1 in the morning during the high season, and during special events such as carnivals, a few times per year, until 3 in the morning.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Pros:

Très bien situé dans le centre historique. Personnel agréable et belles chambres spacieuses

Cons:

Petit déjeuner un peu décevant et selon la sensibilité, le bruit du bar à côté peu être gênant (musique jusqu'à 1h du matin)

Pros:

Good location
Very friendly staff
Food on the roof terrace good but not cheap
Staff very kind to the cats. They were lovely

Cons:

Very loud music noise until 1 am
They only advised us of the noise AFTER we had booked a non changeable room. That was not helpful.
The lift broke down had to climb 3 flights of stairs or 4 to the roof terrace.
The hotel had multiple changes in floor level. Tripped more than once. Dangerous.
Bed comfy. Light cable held together with sellotape!
One morning the water went off

Excellent location, wonderful staff and really nice breakfast!
Pros:

Staff were exceptional so helpfully and polite, could not do enough to help out and answer questions!

Cons:

Loud music after 12am outside the hotel (maybe only a weekend feat but definitely would not stop us staying again).

Nice hotel in an strategic place.
Pros:

A nice hotel in the old city, and not far from the sea. The room was clean and equipped. The breakfast was rich.

Cons:

Noisy at night. Expensive.

Great location, hotel itself is beautiful and the staff is friendly, though not effective.

Cons:

Almost impossible to sleep before 1AM, even with earplugs, as the hotel is right next to a bar / club. Wi-fi was not working and the terrace was closed, due to the weather. Not even the TV worked, to see the World Cup matches. Definitely not worth its price.

Great sized room, in a fab location in Kotor Old Town
Pros:

Excellent location in the heart of Kotor Old Town. Friendly, helpful staff. Great sized room, with excellent bathroom and a lovely roof terrace, too.

Cons:

It was only made clear AFTER I completed (the non-refundable) booking that we should expect music to be played until 1am 9or even 3am on special days). The first night was loud, but with earplugs, the remainder of stay was bearable even with the music.

Charming boutique hotel with spacious rooms and a fantastic rooftop bar.
Pros:

Great location inside the old city walls. Our room had a balcony overlooking The Old Town Pub. The Rooftop Bar has beautiful views and great food.

Cons:

We liked everything about this property.

Very nice hotel in the middle of everything. You can reach everything within 5 min. Friendly and helpful staff

Cons:

Because of its location, bars are right next to it and play loud music until 1 am. If that’s not an issue for you then it’s a great place to be.

The hotel itself is lovely - as are the staff - but the location next to the club means you can’t sleep well.
Pros:

The hotel is nice, clean and centrally located. The rooftop terrace was great. And all the staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

Cons:

The hotel is right next to a club that plays extremely loud music until 1am every night. That meant it was impossible to sleep well for the duration of the stay.

Sehr zentrale Altstadt Lage

Cons:

Die gegenüber liegende Bar ist bis gegen 1 Uhr nachts mit Musik und steigendem Alkoholpegel der Gäste in Betrieb. Fenster reduzieren den Lärm nur mäßig. Das Hotel weist auf diesen negativen Punkt auch hin. Wahrscheinlich existieren auch Zimmer, die davon etwas weniger betroffen sind. Wir waren jedenfalls vom Lärm "verwöhnt".
Das Hotel hat einen Anspruch mit seinen Preisen. Dafür müsste alles ein wenig perfekter sein. Beschädigte Türrahmen, Wände, Ecken, etc. trüben das Bild.....

Pros:

La comodidad del cuarto; la ubicación del hotel, la amabilidad del personal. Excelente desayuno. La comida en el roof top fue excelente.

Cons:

Un poco ruidoso en entorno por la noche.
