Music is allowed until 1 in the morning during the high season, and during special events such as carnivals, a few times per year, until 3 in the morning.
A deposit may be required at the property.
Location and roof top bar excellent
Place needs a lot of refurbishing and photos are misleading
The rooms were big and the staff was amazing! The roof top bar was such a nice amenity. Everyone was helpful and very accommodating.
We had two rooms and both were great, but it is very loud from the music in the close by bars. The hotel should invest in blackout shutters and possibly having windows that seal better.
I'm not usually one to complain as I know everyone is doing their best but considering what happened during our stay I feel I am obliged to provide the feedback
Waking up on tour first morning the power went out from 830am, and it did not come back on till 4pm.
This meant:
- No wifi, I had to pay 100 euros in roaming charges during my stay to access the internet
- No AC, after being out all day we had hoped to relax in a cool room, not possible without AC. We came back at 2pm to be shocked that the power was still out.
- Showering in the dark as there was no light, both morning and night
- Breakfast limited to a croissant. No Coffees, no teas. Warm orange juice.
- No power so obviously nothing charged in our room, phones running out of battery while we tried to explore Kotor
- No fresh towels as they were stuck in Laundry
- Items we kept in the fridge had gone warm
Then, on our second and last morning, the power went out again, first at around 6/7am, then at around 9am.
which meant all the same things:
- No breakfast again, croissants again - no teas or coffees
- No AC
- Showering in the dark
etc etc
Ultimately it appear I paid for a bed in a warm room?
The lift was also not working while we were there.
And our room could not have been closer to Kotor Old Town pub which blasted music until 2am everynight, which obviously isn't ideal.
This hotel is not at a cheap price point. I appreciate everyone was doing their best but I was expecting a far better service and experience. A hotel at this price point should have a backup generator if power outages are common. I requested a refund outlining the above, and I was flatly denied - and also threatened with being reported to booking.com if I left a negative review after requesting a refund - wild stuff.
Just stuff for everyone to be mindful of before booking at this hotel.
It’s in the centre of the old town and close to everything. Staff is really friendly and responds quickly. They arranged my pick-up for the airport, I could check-in on arrival and didn’t have to wait until check-in time and they arranged a breakfast to go as I had to be in the airport early. Airconditioning worked well and it was clean.
I read before that you should be aware of it being noisy, because of being in the old centre. That was an understatement. Be aware of not only voices and a little bit of music, it was like sleeping on top of a night club (hard beats, earplugs didn’t help for that).
The room was very dark, as there was a post stamp of a window in it. I expected more form a so called ‘boutique’ hotel. I found it to expensive and I didn’t relax in my room as I expected to do.
Lovely boutique hotel right in the heart of old town. Lovely decor and the staff were super…
The bathroom is partitioned off by glass which you can see through (just shapes/movement) so isn’t ideal. Not really sure why someone would decide that the best option for a hotel room 😄🙈
The location is very convenient but it’s def LOUD at night due to 2 late bars outside the hotel so you need good earplugs if you’re hoping to sleep. Or just join the party 😄
We were in a room just below the roof terrace so there was almost constant noise from the furniture being moved around. Would recommend asking for a room away from there.
Breakfast was lovely, but inconsistent. Totally different food served to me even tho I had the same thing 2 days in a row.
Good location
Very friendly staff
Food on the roof terrace good but not cheap
Staff very kind to the cats. They were lovely
Very loud music noise until 1 am
They only advised us of the noise AFTER we had booked a non changeable room. That was not helpful.
The lift broke down had to climb 3 flights of stairs or 4 to the roof terrace.
The hotel had multiple changes in floor level. Tripped more than once. Dangerous.
Bed comfy. Light cable held together with sellotape!
One morning the water went off
Staff were exceptional so helpfully and polite, could not do enough to help out and answer questions!
Loud music after 12am outside the hotel (maybe only a weekend feat but definitely would not stop us staying again).
Great staff, cleanliness and location
The bathroom could be a little bigger
A nice hotel in the old city, and not far from the sea. The room was clean and equipped. The breakfast was rich.
Noisy at night. Expensive.
Great location, hotel itself is beautiful and the staff is friendly, though not effective.
Almost impossible to sleep before 1AM, even with earplugs, as the hotel is right next to a bar / club. Wi-fi was not working and the terrace was closed, due to the weather. Not even the TV worked, to see the World Cup matches. Definitely not worth its price.
Excellent location in the heart of Kotor Old Town. Friendly, helpful staff. Great sized room, with excellent bathroom and a lovely roof terrace, too.
It was only made clear AFTER I completed (the non-refundable) booking that we should expect music to be played until 1am 9or even 3am on special days). The first night was loud, but with earplugs, the remainder of stay was bearable even with the music.
