That they wouldn't mail back a jacket I had checked with my luggage that they didn't return to me when I picked up the luggage. I asked them to pay mailing costs, but they refused

Best Hampton Inn in NYC
Pros:

As a Lifetime Diamond Member, there are few properties I haven’t tried in NYC, and outside. This Hampton Inn exceeded every expectation, in every measurable way. The friendly, sincere hospitality was over the top, with each of the staff. Thank you, I will be back!

Hampton Inn Grand Central NYC
Pros:

We’ve stayed at this property before. It is very well located on East 43 Street between Lexington and Third. It’s less than a ten minute walk to Grand Central and most subways/connections. There are restaurants and pubs within the vicinity if you don’t want to venture too far. This is fairly basic accommodations, but you can usually make an advance reservation for a decent rate for mid town NYC. The property is clean and well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are fairly small, even those with a king bed. Ours did not have a refrigerator, so be sure to check that if you need one. Breakfast was standard for a Hampton Inn, but more than enough to get you going in the morning. If you’re a light sleeper and sensitive to street noise, definitely ask for an upper floor. 43rd Street can get fairly noisy. When we come to NYC we don’t spend a lot of time in the room - why would you with all you can do? We just need clean, comfortable, good location and fair priced - for NYC. This fits all of our requirements.
