Liebevoll eingerichtetes Hotel mit kleinem Frühstückssnacks, alles incl. Gute Lage 👍

Cons:

Es war ein Problem statt einer großen Bettdecke zwei kleine zu bekommen. Der Mitarbeiter bemühte sich sehr, fand aber keine.

Not worth the money but ok if it’s an emergency
Pros:

It was close to town centre, staff were pleasant and it was clean

Cons:

It was really tired. The bathroom was ancient and had lots of poor repairs. We were in the attic it was really hot and no fan. Everything was pretty old. The bed was soooo uncomfortable- the springs dug in all night.

Pros:

Quiet location. Comunication was good. Room size was large/spacious. Bathroom very clean. Bedding was of very good quality. Loved that we could open the window!

Cons:

Noise of hoovers at 7am. Toilet roll holder was loose, i fixed it in 2 seconds. The towel rail needed binned! Water pressure was poor. Toilet seat was not fixed properly, all easy and quick fixes. Beds need upgraded. And would prefer more sockets near beds.

Can't recommend this other than for it's location
Pros:

Great location for what we wanted to do

Cons:

Room on the third floor (there is no lift). That per se was no problem, but it was impossible to open any window. Old sash windows with the wires cut and thick with paint, so the room was sticking. Additinallt the final narrow staircase to the third floor hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner for many a week. One of the fire doors was bolted shut; on another floor one was propped open. That and a missing stair rod, which made the stair carpet loose, showed a blatant disregard for health and safety.
We were asked to leave our keys every time we left the hotel 'for security reasons'.As there was a different person on reception every time we came and went each day, I have no idea how they knew they were giving the right keys to the right people.
The shower was no more than a trickle. Luckily the temperature of the water was OK as we couldn't see any way to change it, nor the flow of water. It was in our or was off, at the temperature it was.
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The room was not serviced at all after the first night.

Wouldn’t hesitate to book again when visiting Edinburgh.
Pros:

The location of the hotel was excellent for both the train station and also within walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. The room was just what we needed for a short stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable.
