Disappointing from start to finish!

Location was our only positive.

Cons:

We booked a room and asked for windows room with view. It had a view of about 50 air con units and a brick wall. The noise in the room from the units was unbearable. On the first night we asked to change rooms, they said they would let us know. Nothing happened. After breakfast, which was very poor in selection, organization and quality we went back to the room to have a rest after the previous days traveling. We tries to rest but we're woken by housekeeping wanting to clean our room at 10am. We told then we would go out about 12 for several hours. After going out and then returning, the room was not cleaned. We went out for dinner and had to ask again. It was done. Breakfast 2nd morning still one I could not recommend to anyone. No spoons left, sugar not near coffee or tea making facilities.. Juices more water than juice. Food very average. Lived here for 10 years, stayed in hundreds of hotels. This was one of the.most disappointing, especially for westerners and even my Vietnamese wife.

Staff and breakfast are amazing, but be careful what part of the hotel you get!
Pros:

Usually a great hotel that I stay at every tim e in HCMC, but the name on the booking site is confusing (Alagon antique vs Alagon hotel and spa at the same address.

Cons:

I thought I was booking the Alagon antique, but on check in my reservation was in the old and small Alagon Hotel and spa. I am a member of their loyalty club but couldn't get any recognition due to booking through booking .com

Pros:

Staff were most helpful and friendly.
Plenty of healthy choices for breakfast.
Fam, our driver from the hotel, who took us on both airport trips was very happy and bubbly, with a very good knowledge of Saigon.
His stories kept us amused.
Excellent location, close to market and fabulous restaurants.
Complementary foot massage was great, especially after all the walking..
Would recommend hotel to family and friends.

Big hotel with all the features.
Pros:

We went upmarket for our last night of the holiday - it was worth it.
Lovely big pool and spa. Foot massage and full body massage well worth it. Excellent buffet breakfast - it’s a big hotel. Room was spacious and pillows were excellent.

Cons:

Bathroom with corner bath and curtained shower not idea to get in and out of. As only one night it took a bit of navigating around the hotel as different lifts took you to different places.

Gut für einen Städtekurztrip

Cons:

Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen, bitte darauf achten, in welchem Hotel gebucht wird - es gibt Zwei. Das Hotel mit dem Spa scheint komfortabler zu sein, ggf. auch die Zimmer. Es gibt auch mehrere Eingänge, vor und hinter dem Haus, etwas verwirrend. Wir haben nur für eine Nacht gebucht, das war o.k.. Frühstück haben wir nicht eingenommen, können wir nichts dazu beitragen. Personal ist bemüht.
