The Grand Tarabya is one of Istanbul's most iconic and historic hotels, and it continues to set the standard for genuine Turkish hospitality. I have celebrated my birthday with stays at this hotel for the last two consecutive years, and each visit has been just as memorable as the previous one.
The location in beautiful Tarabya is simply unbeatable. The Bosphorus views from the rooms are breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it feel like a true retreat while still being close to the city.
A special thank you to Çiğdem Hanım, Front Desk Manager, whose professionalism, warmth and outstanding leadership made me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived. She and her team went above and beyond to assist with every request, including restaurant reservations, local recommendations and bookings, always with efficiency and a smile.
I would also like to thank Baran Bey, who handled my checkout with exceptional professionalism and efficiency. He made the departure process seamless and pleasant.
Another highlight was Mr. Ali from the restaurant. His hospitality was remarkable, but what impressed me most was his incredible memory. He even remembered what I had eaten during my stay a year earlier. That level of personal attention is extremely rare and reflects the exceptional service culture of the hotel.
The rooms are elegant, the beds are exceptionally comfortable, the spa is excellent, and every member of staff made me feel like a valued returning guest. This is one of those rare hotels where service is truly heartfelt rather than simply professional. I am already looking forward to returning.
Honestly, nothing. Every aspect of my stay met or exceeded my expectations. The team consistently delivers outstanding service, and that is exactly why I chose to return for my birthday for a second consecutive year.

The TV in the room was not a smart tv and there was no chairs or coffee table on the balcony

Outstanding location in a picturesque area write on the the Bosphorus shore. Bosphorus cruises,.places to eat are available nearby.
It's quite far away from the center of the city but that's expected for such a location.
Best and polite waiter ever. I had cocktails with my best friend at READ cafe. Our waiter Emre was very very polite and he knows what he is doing..

Absolutely positive experience away from the busy central touristic streets.
Fantastic view on the waters, lack of tourists (mainly the locals around), walkable routes along marina and quays in both directions, nice restaurants on the way etc.
The hotel itself offers a lot, the facilities are functional, breakfast - outstanding.
Rooms- spacious.
Abdullah (the bell-boy), Zeynep from the reception, the guys from the bar on the 1st floor (where we watched the football semi-final on 14.07.26) - were just great and very helpful and nice!
