Loved that the property has a no‑pet policy. I will let all my friends who are allergic to pet know.
The location and pool were great.
The bed was uncomfortable
We got here at 9 pm after a 4 hour drive. While I was checking jn my husband went to get a drink and brought it to the front desk. While standing and waiting thd front desk clerk asked if he was ok? He said yes and asked why? The front desk clerk then said " im wondering why you are in my space?" We looked at each other in shock. Then she asked for my credit card and charged the room. I told her it was booked through my avion rewards. She didn't know what that was and asked to see my avion account on my phone. I asked for the managers name . Reply" i cant give you that information " after she sorted out my reservation I asked for her name reply" i cant give you that information " i have never felt so unwelcome at a hotel in my life. Do better Marriot. Email has been sent to manager as all i had to do was ask Google! Deeply disappointed.
the room was great if the TV in front of the bed had been working with the remote. tried for 20 mins and therefore missed my chance to go to the pool before it closed.
ended up having to move the mattress onto the pullout couch so that we could watch TV in bed. so was lopsided on sides.
also my partner had a really bad cold so he was too weak to assist me in putting it back which left me with my broken ankle to move it back onto the boxspring.
also the free breakfast was disappointing, tge sausages looked as if they had just been lightly boiled, leaving them looking very unappetising.
the evening and morning staff at the front desk did attempt to help me as best they could and for that I was grateful.
personally I likely would not stay again for over $200, it was not worth the amount in my case.
-undercooked sausage
-TV not functioning in the bedroom
-missed out on the pool and hottub trying to fix the TV issue
- cost was on the high end
Natalia at the front desk was amazing and was able to get us in to our rooms early which was appreciated.
Good location, kids loved the pool and waterslide
Piles of new/used mattresses everywhere, even in the lobby
All was good
Breakfast was great. Selection was very good
Noisey kids up stairs in hotel room at 10pm at night. No soap in bathroom.
The pool was great and slide was very fast.
Crib was provided and in room upon our later arrival which helped with less luggage for us to bring and made bedtime easier.
Good cheesey eggs and overall breakfast.
Shower was ice cold. Had expensive family photos booked for this trip. We all had to shower in literal ice cold showers. Complained to front desk and they said they would have it looked at.
Waited an hour but we really had to get going so forced children and ourselves to shower in the cold to be ready in time for the photos (baby didn’t get to shower or bath unfortunately). That was super disappointing and not a great way to start a very busy day.
That night there was hot water for showers but we didn’t really need them so much by then.
No garbage bags. We have a toddler and a baby in diapers. Asked down stairs front desk and he had none… the garbage cans in the rooms didn’t have any in them either which was strange.
No trays to bring food up to our room. We have young children and going down early morning with everyone to eat sounded like a nightmare. We wanted to eat in the privacy of our room while getting ready for the day. No trays. Had to carry up all our food on flimsy paper plates. Second trip for drinks and coffee…
Supper accommodating and friendly, I asked them to get into the room before to decorate it for my partner and they did everything to help me, nice hot breakfast!
Hotwater not provided, Body wash and shampoo not provided
Construction Nightmare-They are renovating the third floor. Jackhammering throughout the day right above our room on the second floor. When asked why I was not told about this when making the reservation, the front desk staff said they were not allowed to tell anyone. They were also not able to change my room. I went to the fourth floor to check the noise level (already renovated) the housekeeping staff said they were also not allowed to say anything about the construction. They also pointed out rooms that were not occupied. I returned to the front desk and asked for the manager. A man in construction clothes appeared and asked me “What is my problem?” He said that they were renovating the rooms for me, the guest, and wanted me to suggest a time when it would be alright to renovate in the year.
He said that I would neither get a discount or a room change or a refund. I was shocked at his answer and tried to explain (tearfully) that my father in law had just passed away in the Vernon Hospital and we needed some quiet space to make family phone calls. After he rolled his eyes, he reluctantly changed us to another room on the fourth floor. We could not hear any noise and although we were downgraded from a king to a double queen room, there was no discount or refund. The room was mostly renovated but lacking towel racks or outlet covers.
Be very careful when you book this hotel. The management have a cavalier attitude toward guests and do not care about anyone.
We arrived with a confirmed reservation after a long drive, but after 1.5 hours of waiting, the hotel still could not check us in. Late in the evening, our family had to search for another hotel. The staff was unprofessional and not helpful at all. Extremely disappointing experience, especially for a Marriott property.
