Homewood Suites by Hilton Newport-Middletown

First time to stay here and will return. No complaints. Customer service is great. Suite was clean and well equipped. Breakfast fine and presented in a thoughtful arrangement.

Spacieux, bien équipé

Wanted a quick getaway from NYC over the July 4th weekend.. just for a change of mood from the stress of the last 7 months. Booked this hotel on very short notice, but being on our Hilton Honors points, it was “free” ~ and we all know THERE’S NOTHING like FREE !! And Newport is a great town for FREE on July 4th !!

As members of HH, I usually find their properties are of a regular standard and offer a welcoming and comfortable stay. We stayed in Middletown for the convenience of being in the center of things, though there are other Hilton properties in the area. The property is located just 3 miles from Bowens Wharf, the local hub of activities in Newport, and provides plenty of free parking – which is fast becoming a rarity with Hilton.

The overall look is “clean and well maintained.”

The lobby and public (shared) facilities are adequate, and offer the usual amenities, though we do not usually avail: pool, exercise room, lounge, etc. Whatever ! The hallways are clean and maintained..

The room: arranged as a suite - spacious and well appointed, with all the necessary fittings and accoutrements. You enter through a sitting area equipped with the requisite flatscreen entertainment panel, a settee, table & chair and a full kitchenette. Having a coffee machine is always a boon in the morning, though the quality of coffee is questionable. Then there is the bath area, across from the closet, and finally the sleeping space. The bath is well maintained and with all the requisite accoutrements, shower, sink, dryer, etc.. Hilton always provides great towels.

The room itself was fairly spacious, with a Hilton’s usual comfortable bed, space to open bags - but only 1, some drawer space to unpack for longer stays, a table and chair, and the requisite flat-screen TV.

Overall – adequate, and a great value for the money and location.

The breakfast was good and very convenient. Our suite had almost everything we needed.

The room was amazing and spacious. The amenities were strong and unexpected. The staff was so helpful and friendly especially, Manny, Steve, and Madison.

We spent a night here as a family.

The reception staff are very friendly. The suite is spacious, well-equipped, and very clean (fridge, freezer, dishwasher, sink, 2 cooktops, microwave, cutlery and tableware for four, some kitchen utensils, dish soap, tea towels). The pool isn't very large, but it is very pleasant. The fitness room is similar—not very big, but pleasant, well-equipped, and functional. I would have liked some bacon for breakfast, but there were plenty of other choices.

We loved our stay here!

Everything was just great.

Friendly and helpful staff. We could take our dog with us! Easy drive to Newport and easy walk to parking lot.

The bed was super comfy and the kitchen was a nice size. Breakfast was great and many choices.

Enjoy the size of the property, friendliness of the staff, the quality of food and the exercise equipment as well as the location were perfect for our family.

All staff encountered very helpful and polite.

Clean, extra linens in closet, tv easy to operate, felt safe. Quiet.

The room was big enough for 2 people, the location was conveniece for us. The breakfast was simple but ok.

It was close to Newport
