Perfectly fine stay.
Pros:

Lovely hotel, middle of the range.
Staff excellent, room generous and good bathroom.
Pool area lovely and quiet.
Would stay again for sure.

Cons:

Buffet was average.
There was a wedding happening in the reception room which may have taken the glory from the guest buffet.
Otherwise perfectly fine.

Amazing staff. Worth the money you spend. Overall great experience
Pros:

It was clean and neat. Loved the traditional decorations. Loved how attentive the staff are. Great food options and an amazing property . One of a kind view of great stupa’s one of the main reasons for my stay and the hotel didn’t disappoint

Great Stay with Excellent Service
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at Heritage Hotel Anuradhapura. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay.

We especially enjoyed the dinner and breakfast buffets, with a good variety of tasty food. The hotel also has a lovely and relaxing atmosphere.

Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Anuradhapura.

Cons:

Average food, We visited in 2018, now the area of the hotel is shrunk. Very compact. Banquet hall was closer to our rooms. Guests were using same hallway till midnight.

Excellent hospitality, tasty food, and a very comfortable stay.
Pros:

The rooms at this hotel were very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. We booked on a room-only basis, but enjoyed dinner from the hotel's à la carte menu, which was very good. We also joined the breakfast buffet the next morning and were impressed with the variety and quality of the food. Everything we tried was delicious. If you are looking for a clean hotel with good food options and welcoming staff, I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing vacation.

No complaints. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to visit again.

Our stay at Heritage Hotel
Pros:

Breakfast buffet was good and had a variety of Sri Lankan foods. Kola kanda and Halapa were great! Rooms and bathrooms were clean.

Cons:

As in many Sri Lankan hotels, bathrooms were small and dark. Bedspreads looked old and gloomy.

Cons:

I made my reservation through Booking.com, where I specifically booked a Deluxe Triple Room. However, upon arrival, I was assigned a Double Room while being charged at the Triple Room rate, which was also higher than the price originally displayed at the time of booking.
There was a noticeable discrepancy between the confirmed Booking.com rate and the amount charged by the hotel. When I raised this concern, the team acknowledged that an error had occurred on their part and later adjusted the amount from USD 168.07 to USD 143.05 under the half-board rate. While I appreciate the adjustment, it is important to highlight that the revised rate of USD 143.05 corresponds to a Deluxe Triple Room as per Booking.com, I was provided with only a Double Room.
What is particularly disappointing is that this issue was neither communicated nor clarified by the front office team at the time of check-in. It was only addressed after I brought it up, and even then, the matter was handled without full transparency.
As first-time guests, we had high expectations; however, this experience has unfortunately affected our overall impression of the hotel. Such inconsistencies and lack of proactive communication do not reflect the standards one would expect from a property of this level.
