Disappointing
Pros:

Rooms were clean and decor was appealing.

Cons:

Hotel is literally on the railway line which was not evident on the map whilst booking. Woke up every hour with the arrival and departure of the trains.

Machu Picchu Stay
Pros:

Everything was very pleasant. Very kind and genuine staff. Location was very close to the town, bus, and train stations. Rooms very clean and welcoming. Staff very attentive and helpful with assisting with luggage to and from the train. Melissa checked in to ask about the stay and is very thoughtful!

Habitaciones cómodas pero exterior muy ruidoso por bulla del personal

Cons:

El lugar de nuestra habitación quedaba justo en el sector de la cocina por lo tanto desde muy temprano el ruido de los carros y traslado de cosas nos despertaban muy temprano sin ninguna preocupación de no molestar. Muy molesto

Pros:

Everything. This is a beautiful hotel. We had beautiful veiws of the river, rooms were like a 5 star hotel. The staff were super helpful with everything we needed and made sure that we are ok during all our stay. The location is perfect and quiet.

Amazing boutique hotel
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay. Rooms and hotel are beautiful. The river near is amazing. Staff were very kind and helped us with all we needed, especially Melissa who took care of all our needs. Thank you so much for everything ❤️, we had a wonderful experience.

Recommended spot to park yourself in Michu Pichu . Excellent breakfast and staff
Pros:

Location is superb! The service is with a smile. The hotel breakfast very delicious and a good variety of offerings including champagne if you wish😉. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Right round the corner (1min) to catch bus to Macchu Pichu or train to Cusco ( 3 min walk) . Nice eating place options close by.. highly recommended place to park yourself for the night or nights ❤️

Calming, Friendly, Local
Pros:

My husband and I stayed here for one night only but wish we could have spent a week. This hotel had stunning views of the river, a massive soaking tub on our balcony, a tasty restaurant and wonderful staff. We were greeted immediately on arrival and were offered a welcome drink while we were checking in. Staff was very attentive and polite. I got a massage in the evening and it was very relaxing next to the river. The town of Machu Picchu Pueblo is charming and has no cars...only trains and busses. This lent to amazingly fresh air. Everything in the town is within walking distance so no worries about location. The hotel stored our luggage for us when we went to Machu Picchu.

I read a review before I booked this hotel that the town was in shambles and the buildings were falling apart. After visiting, I can tell you that opinion is very limited. This is NOT New York, Paris or London and it is better for it. The pueblo is charming old-world and the people are amazing. Do not let the doubters curb your interest in this hotel. It was worth every penny!

Highly recommend for quality service and comfort
Pros:

The perfect place to stay in Aguas Calientes before heading to Macchu Picchu. The hotel is conveniently located by both the train station and the bus stop to Macchu Picchu. The rooms were incredible - right next to the river and had gorgeous views. They had a fabulous breakfast spread and offer a discount dine in. Excellent service (especially from Melissa), very comfortable accommodations, and conveniently located! I’d highly recommend!

We stayed at Casa del Sol with our family of 5 and absolutely loved it. This high-end boutique hotel delivered exceptional, high-touch service from start to finish — they anticipated every need and made our trip feel effortless and special.
Highlights:
• Perfect location right by the train station and river in Aguas Calientes
• Seamless train arrival with bag escort service
• Delicious lunches to go for Machu Picchu
• Outstanding Pisco Sour mixology class
• Amazing breakfast buffet and the best dinners we had in the area (with a great wine menu too)
• Staff happily handled all custom requests
