Felt safe despite this being my first solo holiday. Top notch hospitality, lovely food, and drinks. And spectacular ocean view.

All aspects considered excellent, I had a very memorable experience and would like to come back

Exceptional service from Kadzo at Bamburi Beach Hotel!

We had a wonderful time at Bamburi Beach Hotel, and I would especially like to recognize Kadzo, who served us during our stay. She was absolutely outstanding — warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming.

Kadzo went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Her positive attitude, patience, and attention to detail really stood out. She made us feel valued as guests, and her service added something special to our experience.

People like Kadzo are a real asset to the hotel. Her hospitality and professionalism are exactly what great customer service should look like. I sincerely hope the management recognizes her excellent work and gives her the appreciation she deserves.

Thank you, Kadzo, for making our time at Bamburi Beach Hotel even more enjoyable. You are doing an amazing job, and your hard work definitely does not go unnoticed.

The staffs are so welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay here.

We enjoyed our holiday with family and friends. Check in experience was nothing to write about .Reception staffs were unprofessional and rude eg Stacy rest of the staffs in the hotel are friendly and very professional and visible and helpful from Mr Michael Hotel manager. FRIDA Housekeeping Manager and all junior staff .Hotel was clean from reception to rooms not forgetting washrooms at reception and near pool They were very clean
Service was good but slow delay in drinks . and Food had long quee and almost the same every day. Pool near the beach was the best .

The rooms are nicely done and clean and the food was superb. The service was very warm and friendly. Thank you for the excellent stay

Bamburi beach hotel, excellent service, the staff are fantastic all round, from reception, catering, room service are well trained. The food is excellent, the rooms well maintained. Everyone makes you feel like you’re at home away from home. It is worth the price. We will definitely be back!

Hotel excellent, recently renovated, very clean. Room size fine, beds comfortable, great view! Staff exceptional, reception, dining staff, cleaners, all extremely pleasant and helpful. Shout out to Lorna at reception, what a gem. Made our family trip even more enjoyable! Shout out too to the animation team, oozing positive energy, my kids loved the workouts and pool activities. Special mention there as well, Elias and Andrew, fantastic. Dining, very good buffet, breakfast, lunch and dinner, nice variety.Only downside was beach, no possibility to lay on the beach and sea swim okish. Other than that we had a wonderful family holiday and recommend the Bamburi Beach Hotel without hesitation

We had a lovely 4-night stay at Bamburi Beach Hotel, which was exactly the relaxing beach break we needed after our safari. Overall, I’d rate it around 4.5/5.

The hotel has recently been renovated and has a nice, modern luxury feel, while its relatively small size gives it more of a boutique atmosphere. Most rooms have lovely beach views. We initially stayed in interconnected rooms, which were excellent for our family with young children. On our final night these were unavailable, but the hotel upgraded us to two adjacent rooms with jacuzzi/hot tubs, which was a lovely touch.

We stayed All Inclusive and thought it was good value, with a wide selection of drinks included and particularly good fresh juices. The buffet food was consistently good, with a decent vegetarian selection. Service was attentive throughout, and the restaurant staff were particularly friendly and helpful.

The animation team deserves a special mention. They were very active in organising activities for both children and adults, and their evening dance performance was excellent. They achieve a lot despite the hotel’s relatively small footprint.

There are a couple of areas that could be improved. The pool table/table tennis area is a good facility, but because space is limited it was used for other events during our stay, including a conference for two days, meaning these facilities weren’t accessible.

The kids’ club is another area where I think there is room to develop further. The staff were excellent — friendly, attentive and genuinely caring towards the children. The offering itself was a little limited compared with some of the stronger family resorts in Mombasa, so it would be great to see management explore some new activities and ideas, with additional equipment or materials where needed. The staff clearly have the enthusiasm and ability to make it a stronger offering.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. A well-maintained, friendly and relaxing family hotel, with good food, attentive service and a lovely beach setting. We’d happily return.

Stayed here in August 2026 and let me start with the positives.....
the views from the front of the reception are outstandingly stunning and the staff and services are also excellent.
I arrived here and wasn't happy at all with the room I was allocated and due to staff misunderstanding or my mistake the room was not changed!
Slept in the same room for 2 nights next to a noisy mini fridge,also which was overlooked by neighbours so could not relax in the small triangular balcony!! I had booked the room relying on the photos shown by trip advisor and obviously that is not what I got(very misleading)
I don't mean to put down anyone as this is newly renovated hotel and I like to give constructive criticism so other people don't experience what I had! Also tried to get refund for 2 nights and was point blankly refused!!
I think I will not be coming to Bamburi Beach hotel again soon
