Cons:

The room was not equipped for summer heat. The windows cannot be opened properly to allow the wind to come in/ventilate the room. However, we were able to rent (refundable deposit) a small fan from the reception for 1 large room with 4 people - it provided mental satisfaction rather than physical cooling.

Das Bett war sehr bequem. Die Lage am Hauptbahnhof ist sehr gut erreichbar.
Das Zimmer und Toilette+ Dusche waren sauber.

Pros:

Hostel w dobrej lokalizacji bardzo blisko dworca. Typowe a&o. Pokój jednoosobowy całkiem duży i wygodny. Czystość w pokoju w porządku, w części wspólnej już trochę gorzej. Na miejscu bar czynny do późna gdzie można wypić piwo czy drinka i zjeść jakieś drobne przekąski. Ogólnie na pobyt turystyczny "rano wychodzę, w nocy wracam" dobre miejsce.

Cons:

W upały jest strasznie gorąco - w pokoju, na korytarzach, w barze. Do tego brak możliwości otwarcia okna w pokoju (jest tylko uchylne) więc w nocy też pokoju się nie ochłodzi. W dodatku jak to w hostelach a&o ogródek baru zamykany o 21 więc jak ktoś chce się ochłodzić to na ulicy przed hotelem.

NIE WIEDER
Cons:

Leider war unser Aufenthalt im A&O Wien Hauptbahnhof vom 07.09. bis 09.09. eine absolute Katastrophe.

Das erste Zimmer war im Badezimmer massiv von Schimmel befallen und für uns als Familie absolut unzumutbar. Nach einer Beschwerde an der Rezeption wurden wir zunächst vertröstet, später hieß es, es gäbe kein anderes Zimmer. Erst nach weiterer Diskussion bekamen wir doch ein neues Zimmer. Dieses war allerdings ebenfalls in einem erschreckenden Zustand: Flaschen der Vorgänger unter dem Bett, Staub und Schmutz überall, verdreckte Lüftung und unhygienische Ausstattung.

Besonders bedenklich fanden wir, dass das verschimmelte Zimmer offenbar direkt an den nächsten Gast weitergegeben wurde. Ich hatte dort meine Kontaktlinsen vergessen und traf bei der Abholung bereits auf einen neuen Gast im Zimmer. Offenbar wurde der Schimmel weder beseitigt noch das Zimmer gesperrt.

Das Personal wirkte mit der Gesamtsituation völlig überfordert. Gleichzeitig mussten Rezeption und Bar betreut werden, während sich zahlreiche Gäste beschwerten.

Nachtruhe war praktisch nicht vorhanden. In beiden Nächten wurde bis weit nach Mitternacht auf den Gängen geschrien und getrampelt.

Das zusätzlich gebuchte Frühstück war ebenfalls enttäuschend. Am ersten Morgen kamen wir wegen der enormen Überfüllung gar nicht erst hinein. Am zweiten Morgen war das Buffet sehr spärlich und der Kaffee kaum genießbar.

Der schlimmste Punkt betrifft jedoch die Hygiene: Nach unserer Heimkehr entdeckten wir eine Bettwanze im Gepäck und mussten sämtliche Kleidung und Gegenstände reinigen, um einen Befall zu Hause zu verhindern.

Wir haben Verständnis dafür, dass in einem Hostel nicht alles perfekt sein kann. Schimmel, mangelnde Sauberkeit, organisatorisches Chaos, Lärm und der Verdacht auf Bettwanzen gehen jedoch weit über akzeptable Mängel hinaus.

Für uns war dieser Aufenthalt eine große Enttäuschung und hat unseren Familienausflug mit unserem Sohn leider komplett überschattet.

Not great for an a&o
Pros:

The hotel's location is perfect for a morning flight or a train.

Cons:

The area directly surrounding the hostel is just creepy. The "lobby" is traditional a&o though I have seen nicer ones elsewhere. The room was exactly what I would expect, but the bathroom was plainly bad. The shower drain pipe was clogged. Overall, I was very happy to get up and leave for a flight.

Awesome place to stay on budget
Pros:

The staffs were very good and welcoming. There were lockers in the room. The check in process was very quick. You just digitally check in on the kiosk and get your access key. They also give you a free welcome drink.

Cons:

It will be good if the beds are numbered.
