Venice was the first stop on our two-week Italian vacation, but despite an exciting intinerary that includled stops in Florence, Sorrento and Rome to look forward to, it wa sad leaving after only two days because of our experience at Corte di Gabriela.
Everything about the hotel was first class. Our ground floor room was a work of art thanks to the beautiful frescoes on the ceiling and it was filled with plenty of high-end amenities. The location was perfect, on a quiet canal just a short walk from the Sant'Angelo Vaporetto stop and close to St. Mark's Square and all the other important attractions. And the breakfast that was included as part of our stay was the best I have ever seen at a hotel. Not only was there an incredible spread of fruits, pastries, cheese and cold cuts, but upon being seated our table was quickly filled with other delacies including warm mini pizzas, smoked salmon and stewed tomatoes. After all that, the attendant then asked how we would like our eggs cooked by the chef who was manning the kitchen. It was all incredibly delicious!
Beyond the physical attributes, the other thing that sets this property apart is the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, including a wonderful front desk manager (whose name I wish I had gotten) who provided us with directions, Vaporetto schedules and restaurant recommendations every time we asked.
It's a shame we can only give Corte di Gabriella five stars, because it deserves at least twice that many!

I stayed here for four nights with my girlfriend over a weekend in April. We had the most wonderful time, the best experience I've ever had in a hotel. Our room was beautiful, overlooking the canal - spacious, lovely bed, nice bathroom. We felt greatly cared for by all of the staff throughout our stay, and it was really them who made our trip so special. Attentive, friendly and very thoughtful (I got a birthday tart for my birthday breakfast). Also excellent breakfast eaten al fresco in the pretty courtyard. Thank you to Luca, Massimo, Giulia, Augusto and all of the other staff for making our stay so special. When we come back to Venice there's no doubt we'd be back.
Amazing stay, everything about it from the hospitality from the staff to the beautiful room and the breakfast served everyday which was different each day was exceptional. The linen sheets made going to bed a dream.
Location was perfect as we enjoyed having the whole of Venice being very accessible.
Unfortunately there was a humming/ spinning sound (apparently not from the hotel itself) all the time which kept us awake at night.

Extremely well located in a quiet street just a few minutes walk from a water taxi drop off point (although make sure you have clear directions to the hotel, like most of Venice the streets can be very confusing). Very close to a lovely square with several great non-touristy restaurants. Far enough away from the busy areas of the main tourist sites but easy to walk to them. The room was beautiful; spacious, very well appointed with everything you could need, spotlessly clean and very quiet. All the staff were very friendly, extremely helpful and a delight to chat with. They were very knowledgeable re restaurant and sightseeing suggestions as well as being happy to make water taxi bookings. Breakfast was an absolute highlight; a fresh buffet with a wide range of dishes is complemented with additional small plates of gourmet quality which change daily. Simply fantastic food! So overall, definitely highly recommended for a stay in Venice.
What an absolutely wonderful hotel. Great location. The team are so helpful and lovely. The breakfast was Amazing! The rooms are a great size. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly. Absolutely loved it.

The Hotel is amazing well located, near of everything. The service, room and ambiance is AA plus. Also they have a extraordinary breakfast included. Massimo is a extraordinary, nice and helper guy, also the other girls at the front desk. The stay in Corte Di Gabriela was a excellent experience.

Breakfast is a standout on all levels and very far removed from the standard “continental’ buffet style - it’s more like a mini tasting menu with perfect, freshly prepared hot and cold dishes prepared daily, most of which are brought to your table with impeccable service.
