Corte Di Gabriela is such a special place. Located just off the San Angelo stop, the hotel is charming in all the best ways. Rooms are a lovely mix of modern with classic Venetian style. The beds are super comfortable and the all the little goodies in the room make you feel special. Bathrooms are small, but efficient with great showers. The best thing about the place is the people though. They are all so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is a real treat with a cascade of small dishes arriving before being asked if you would like an omelet or scrambled eggs or perhaps pancakes. I am not even including the sumptuous spread of fruits, juices and pasties. This is my second time at this lovely place and I can't wait to get back again. Travel, for me, is about experiences and how a place makes you feel. The Corte Di Gabriela makes me feel really good!!
Everything! The interior design, the facilities (the sauna and hair straighteners especially), the care taken from the staff members to make our stay extra special (flowers, prosecco and a lovely breakfast box for an early morning) and the location. Highly recommend and we will stay here again when we next visit Venice.
There is a slightly damp smell in the room as it is beside the canal but they give you a deodoriser which removed the smell after a while.
Boutique hotel, with amazing breakfasts in a cute garden setting. Room was lovely and well appointed. Positioned in an easy walk to most attractions. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend.
Corte Di Gabriela is a lovely stay in a very quiet and charming part of the city. It is walking distance to everything and there is easy access from the airport. They serve an excellent breakfast as well.
Really attentive staff that made us feel so welcome and valued. They even sent us up some breakfast boxes on the day we were leaving, knowing we wouldn't have time to sit for breakfast before we left. They also proactively helped us with logistics regarding transportation to and from the hotel, which we found very helpful. Would absolutely stay again, we were blown away! The hotel itself was also beautiful, and we enjoyed a very comfortable stay.
Great experience - good location, exceptional staff, delicious and original breakfasts, quiet, charming courtyard, great recommendations of local restaurants etc from the team. We'd definitely stay there again on a return to Venice.
Not mainstream (and therefore quiet, but conveniently located. The ambiance is modern and clean yet with all the typical Venetian stile and a mail lounge on the first floor ideal for relaxing. The staff is efficient, knowledgeable and with a smile. Breakfast is daily devised with a few surprises by the chef. Bravi
Charming breakfast courtyard, good size room and bathroom, lovely frescoed ceiling but the things that stood out were the staff and the owner - exceptional. Delicious breakfasts too!
Everything about our room was great (except maybe the fake bear skin carpet on the floor - a tripping hazard). Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, and plenty of storage for hanging clothes and drawer space.
We have been to Venice 4 times and this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Venice. It will become our go to hotel in the future.
We must compliment the breakfast in the morning. It was amazing - many different flavours each day - great variety. Loved it.
The location is also very good. Close to Camp Santo Stefano which has restaurants. Close to the Water Bus.
Massimo is a great host - making sure your every need is addressed.
The staff was amazing and so helpful. The staff was always available to help with any questions or needs. The room was lovely and such a wonderful presentation with the welcome box and cookies. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Venice. The breakfast was spectacular.
Beautiful hotel! Breakfast was delicious and light before venturing out for the day. Customer service was excellent. They made transfers via water taxi easy and effortless. The whole experience was stress free. We were able to enjoy the beautiful city of Venice.
Charming little hotel, exceptionally welcoming staff, delicious breakfasts in a beautiful shaded garden..Short walk to many major attractions. La Feluca, just a few steps away from the hotel, was a great dinner recommendation from Massimo. Their pre-arrival correspondence was very helpful as well.
The service at Corte di Gabriela was amazing. We felt cared for and safe during our stay. The breakfast was absolutely incredible and had a huge variety and was very fresh. The location of this hotel was also prime. 7 minute walk from the Rialto Bridge, 10 minutes from Piazza San Marco, and about 5 minutes from the Accademia Bridge. However, the street that Corte di Gabriela was just off the beaten path, making it cozy and quiet at night. Overall one of the best hotel experiences I've had in Italy.
This charming, gracious, small hotel truly made our experience in Venice superlative. With two rooms we can speak to the differences... our sons shared a beautiful double just off the gorgeous 1st floor sitting area, but my husband and I were lucky enough to have the junior suite above the canal on the 2nd floor. The ceiling was stunning, the king bed incredibly comfortable, the space and amenities had us feeling like royalty. The bathroom has everything needed, a refreshing shower, luxury toiletries, all in a compact space - they even supply a dryer and flatiron. Our small balcony was lovely just for sitting with a coffee or enjoying the sounds on a quiet side canal. The real star here is the breakfast. If it hadn't been raining, we could have enjoyed a luxurious morning on the patio but we were in a rush for a walking tour so had to wait a bit for a table inside...worth the wait! The charming owner and staff of this hotel really exemplify understated hospitality of the highest order.
