It was a wonderfully restored building and everything is original.
Classic elegance.
Kisiva House was a beautiful, ancient property which has been renovated. Loved the feel of it. The team was nice and welcoming. We had a good breakfast and got some really great photos inside the hotel. Rooms were comfortable. We weren't there for very long, but they took good care of us. The feel of the property is exceptional, and the location is very close to Stone Town, walking distance, so it's great for any activities that you want to do in Stone Town
The staff and management are SO professional, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast and its staff and chefs were outstanding. Brenda the manager is exceptional. The place is well kept and vintage

Beautiful historical building, very comfortable rooms, outstanding staff
They highly recommend to do the city tour (as they told us, it was the only place we could do it and it was a must). We hired it and it was just terrible, 50$ two people, the guide must have learnt Spanish in Duolingo, the communication was not fluent. In addition, he did not know any thing about the Zanzibar history, he was reading all the information posters, he could not answer any questions we did.. it was just so embarrassing to be two hours with a “guide” who did not know Spanish and history. It would be much better to have saved the money and to walk on our own the streets while reading ChatGPT… For sure it is not the hotel itself, but I my opinion the manager have responsability in finding out how the companies who collaborate with them work, as we relied so much in the hotel and the quality they were offering. I think this is total disrespectful with the client and his trust..
We also had other trip hired with them, that we cancelled immediately.. we just did it on our own and we informed the hotel we were leaving early and we would like the picnic (as we also payed for the breakfast and the restaurant was not opened yet). They forgot to prepare it and we had to leave without breakfast and no other option..
They hotel is wonderful but i don’t think this is he quality you expected for what it cost one night there..
Hotel magnifique, mobilier magnifique, personnel au top, le petit dej est incroyable (juste le diner a 40$ ne vaut pas forcément le coup)
Attention pas d’ascenseur donc si 2 etages c’est trop pour vous c’est dommage, mais rien a dire

situado en pleno centro de stone town. Personal muy amable. Habitación muy bonita y cama grande muy cómoda. Por las tardes, te preparan la habitación para los mosquitos abriendo la cortina de la cama. El baño tenía ducha y bañera. Te reponen todos los días botellas de agua ya que la del grifo no es apta.
No hay ascensor pero no es en si un problema.
Brenda and the team at Kisiwa house did an amazing job of looking after my wife and I. ( Simone & Graham ) nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and competent staff at Kisiwa House, we would love to come back again for a longer stay in Stone Town 🇹🇿🇹🇿
