Gulhane Corner Hotel

​We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The standout feature is definitely the team—the entire reception staff was incredibly helpful, and a special shout-out goes to Rahmet for going above and beyond to make us feel welcome!
​The location is excellent, making it very easy to get around, and our room was consistently clean, tidy, and comfortable throughout our visit.
​We also absolutely loved the terrace! Having access to a 24/7 kitchen was a massive bonus for grabbing a late-night snack or a coffee whenever we wanted.
​The only minor downside was the breakfast—it could definitely be improved with a bit more variety, as it felt a little limited after a couple of days.
​Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay with wonderful hospitality. We would gladly come back!

Location

The hotel is in a strategic location, within walking distance of major tourist attractions and the metro station. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and very helpful.

It easy to reach as it is at strategic location

Persoanele gentilissimo. Alla reception Siroos, Sadallahe e Faiysal sono molto bravi. Conoscono bene inglese. Uno di loro parla bene anche rumeno e molto bravo con i consigli per avere una vacanza perfetta. Buonissima colazione con le cameriere brave . Conoscono più di una lingua e molto gentili. Posizione perfetta per il tram, metro, treno e per il tour turistico. Se torniamo a Istambul ci fermiamo in questo posto.

Lo staff molto gentile e disponibile, il servizio pulizia ottimo!
Molto carino il terrazzo dove si fa anche la colazione.

We stayed at the Gulhane Corner Hotel in early June. We chose the hotel primarily for its location, and in that regard, it turned out to be absolutely perfect.
​Excellent transit accessibility: Sirkeci Marmaray station is literally a 1-2 minute walk away, and the Gülhane tram stop is just 2 minutes away. All the main sights are within walking distance: we could comfortably walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Basilica Cistern in about 8-12 minutes. Nearby is the beautiful Gülhane Park, be sure to look for the hidden free cistern there. To get to the airport, we took the T1 tram to Eminönü and then caught the Havaist shuttle. Keep in mind that taxis won't pull up directly to the hotel for short rides due to the tram tracks. ​Breakfast on the cozy terrace wasn't overly diverse, but it was homey and filling: olives, cheeses, eggs, French toast, and coffee. If you are used to eating mussels for breakfast at home, this won't be for you. The hotel staff is incredibly polite, friendly, and always ready to help.
​Breakfast starts at 8:30 AM. In our opinion, this is a bit late for summertime in Istanbul, as you would want to head out earlier before the intense heat sets in.
​The rooms are very bright during the day and clean. In the evening, the lighting is slightly dimmer. We didn't pay much attention to the furniture or curtains because, overall, the hotel is cozy and not crowded. Despite having 6 floors, it retains the warm, cozy atmosphere of a small boutique hotel
