Excellent staffed boutique hotel
Pros:

Hotel staff excellent. Front desk staff friendly & accommodating. Breakfast buffet was very good & waitress service excellent. Clean hotel & room. Close to wedding venue.

Cons:

Very very hard & uncomfortable bed & pillows. I've slept on firm mattresses before but never experienced hard lumpy mattress like they have AND hard pillows too!)

Come, try it out you won’t be disappointed!!
Pros:

Very clean well managed great staff I stayed there for 12 days straight and it was a gem of a hotel clean clean clean and comfortable the only thing this great hotel doesn’t have is a hot tub/jacuzzi

Pros:

Very welcoming staff, happy to help and explain about the place and its history. Dinner was lovely and breakfast very generous portions of a regular American breakfast.

Cons:

The cushions were of low quality and very thick/high, i could not find a comfortable obe for my use. Otherwise a nice olace to stay when visiting the region

Best option in Carbondale
Pros:

Good location right downtown. Attached parking garage is very convenient. Spacious room. Nice restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Pleasant courtyard. Interesting artwork in lobby and throughout. Really exceptional for the town. Hard working breakfast staff.

Cons:

Super slow elevator. Like limited staff at night and few things in the lobby store.

Great property in the heart of town!
Pros:

What an amazing gem! Facility is outstanding. Stopped for the night passing through and was quite impressed. Clean, newly remodeled. Would def stay again!!!

I'd stay again

Super lovely staff--some of the most helpful and friendly folks I've ever encountered. Great job by Rich at the front desk!

The room was absolutely spotless, as is the rest of the hotel. Hot water was almost instantaneous, making me wish I could experience the same at home.

The beds are GLORIOUSLY comfortable. I normally have a very hard time falling asleep away from home, and that was not the case here.

It certainly isn't a deal-breaker, but I was surprised to find no telephone in the room. That's most likely a sign of the times, but when I was ready to set up a wake up call, I was, well, awakened to find there was no phone in the room. Again, that was certainly a minor matter.

My stay here was over Memorial Day weekend, and the room prices were very high. That's my only significant complaint, but they're running a business, not a charity, so I guess that's to be expected. Also, a free breakfast was to be included but I learned from cousins who are staying here this weekend that the food was running out at 9 a.m., so I skipped it.

Cons:

For as nice a hotel as this, & given the $300+ nightly room rate this weekend, I would like to have found more plush towels in the bathroom. Again, that's making a big deal out of something that's not that important.
