Comfortable and adequate

Forget the pool!
Pros:

The room was above expectations, clean with plenty of storage and a comfortable bed which could do with being bigger.

The breakfast was really very good size with a good selection served by friendly staff.

The location of the hotel was perfect literally opposite all the restaurants and the beach.

Cons:

The description of the hotel needs to be amended on booking.com as the pool was only available to guests for 2 hours in the morning,(when breakfast was served and the 2 hours in the evening when guests are out eating their evening meals) and at a cost of £5 per session!!
I have never had to pay to use a hotel pool in all the years I have holidayed in the UK or abroad!!!
The main function of the pool is allocated to local children's swimming lessons which due to parents parking in the very limited hotel car park creates another cost to guests who may have used their vehicle to see more of Torquay only to find upon their return to the hotel that there are no parking spaces available and as a consequence they have to pay to park in the long stay car park next to the hotel!!

Pros:

I didn't stay due to feeling unsafe in the room I was allocated as a single female traveller

Cons:

The ground floor room overlooked the bind at the back of the hotel. There was an alley outside the windows which couldn't be opened as the tilt function was broken on one if them and when open could easily be accessed by a person from the outside. No priva y netting or blinds so not private when curtains are open.

Room was in a good location ground floor as disabled, there was a sardine sandwich and cordial left in the drawers, top of bed 1 inch full of dust. The room was boiling hot facing the sun all day with glass windows, couldnt sleep at all suffocating.

Hot weather holiday.
Pros:

Our 2nd visit & again the staff were excellent.
Good views & great location even though there's a slight hill to walk up.

Cons:

Due to no fan in the room we didn't sleep well at all..My wife slept on the floor a few nights to try & cool down.
It's a lovely hotel but these rooms need a fan especially in high temperatures. ..We felt it was cooler outside at times.

Pros:

Das Frühstück war wirklich gut.

Cons:

In unserem Zimmer konnte man das Fenster nicht komplett aufmachen, sondern nur kippen. Daher wurde es auch nachts nicht richtig kühler.
