The Godfrey was a fun and lively hotel with a welcoming staff. It is centrally located so walking to the many attraction
Pros:

The property was centrally located. The environment was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Most importantly was the fact that from check in to check out I felt safe.

Cons:

The only think would be the wifi, but it was a minor inconvenience of having to login in ever time you left and came back.

Favorite Place to Stay in River North!
Pros:

My husband and I live in Iowa, but work in River North/Chicago, which brings us into the area three nights each week. We love The Godfrey property and the convenience of the location to our workplace. Lauren and the entire staff are warm and welcoming, accommodating, professional, and attentive to our needs. The housekeeping staff is very detailed and second to none, and our room and the common areas of the property are always well maintained, clean and fresh. We have tried other properties in downtown Chicago, but The Godfrey is top of our list!

From the moment I walked through the doors, The Godfrey exceeded every expectation. The hotel is beautiful, clean, modern, and welcoming, but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the incredible staff.

A huge thank you to Shardae, who went above and beyond to make sure every part of our stay was perfect. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine kindness made us feel like valued guests from start to finish. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such pride in creating an exceptional guest experience.

I also have to give a special shout-out to the amazing front desk twins! They were friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and always greeted us with a smile. They made check-in and every interaction afterward effortless and enjoyable. Their positive attitudes truly set the tone for our entire stay.

The level of customer service at The Godfrey is second to none. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, accommodating, and committed to making sure guests had everything they needed.

If you’re looking for a hotel that combines luxury with outstanding hospitality, look no further. 10/10 customer service, 10/10 experience, and I can’t wait to stay here again! Highly recommend!

Nice, clean, but really bad road noise kept us up all thru the night.
Pros:

Nice and clean, but nightly street noise and in the wee hours, even at the top floors (14th &16th floors), was *really* bad: revved engines and hyper-bass stereos from cars at the light at Huron & La Salle. Bring good ear plugs or stay at hotels with higher floors nearer the river (the good and bad, according to others attending the same event this weekend).

Clean rooms and amazing staff
Pros:

Amazing experience from my check in with Chris until the end with the sweet front desk! Everything was so good! Our room was spotless when we arrived. The room was so spacious & looks newly renovated. Not sure if that is true but definitely looks like it. I am so glad I picked this hotel! We had breakfast the next morning & my skillet was delicious! I am definitely staying here again! Great experience!!!!
