Cons:

Hotel itself was decent, but the staff’s attitude was disappointing. Some members of the staff were rude and came across as arrogant and unprofessional. The way guests were treated could definitely be improved. Good hospitality is about making guests feel welcome and respected, and unfortunately, that was missing during my stay. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the customer experience

2-Star Motel Standards
Pros:

The Lalit Chandigarh feels like a property in serious decline, surviving on its brand name and cosmetic makeovers. Rooms were dirty, windows visibly filthy, and even the alternative rooms shown to us were no better. Instead of fixing issues, the staff seemed more interested in making excuses.

The worst was the pool. We were first told it was closed for “treatment”; after we questioned this, we were suddenly told it was open and “safe”, despite the water being visibly unclear/dirty-looking. With children, there was absolutely no way we were going to use it.

The property feels tired and poorly maintained, but what is worse is the complete indifference of the staff. No ownership, no urgency, no genuine concern.

Five-star branding, motel-level upkeep and service. The Lalit Chandigarh is nowhere close to the luxury standards it claims. A thoroughly disappointing experience.
