The location was great and enjoyed the beer garden

Lovely room. Very comfortable. And the food in the bar / restaurant was delicious.
Location is very good. My room was clean and very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Better quality tea and coffee selection in my room than I expected with the occasional extra treat of a Tunnock's teacake ! Overall a very nice ambience.
Breakfast service was a bit inconsistent, although the full cooked Scottish breakfast is truly a feast and highly recommended. My bathroom was a bit cramped, but this was mostly due to a superb shower unit, so again mitigation.
There was no note of a WiFi password anywhere in the hotel or my room and my phone did not register a "guest network" at all so looks like no WiFi. My room was not disturbed by the busy restaurant (it was at the other end of the building ) but there was a beer garden below my room which could have been noisy on a warm summer's night, but I stayed in July and it is Scotland, therefore not an issue .
This is a really good hotel with much to commend it but I was left with the impression that the hotel part ( which is maybe only 10 rooms) was a bit of an "add-on" to the main business, i.e. the restaurant.
The shower was large and the shower head was high enough for me to stand under. Being 6ft 5 that's an issue in some places. Comfy bed and a large room. Friendly staff.
The breakfast was cooked well, but it was a little light for a full Scottish. A single sausage, bacon, etc, is not how it's done. Also, access to more coffee was never mentioned. I didn't know whether to help myself or not and I wasn't asked after the 1st poor either.
Near the wedding venue.
No temperature control
After a four-hour journey with my 11-year-old daughter to attend a gig in Glasgow, we arrived at the hotel and encountered a minor issue due to an error with Booking.com.
Chris immediately stepped in and looked after us brilliantly. He invited us to the bar and kindly offered complimentary drinks while he worked to resolve the situation, something that was especially appreciated after travelling on one of the hottest days of the year.
Although the issue was not the hotel’s fault, Chris handled everything with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. He went above and beyond to ensure the problem was resolved quickly and that our stay remained enjoyable and stress free. Thanks to his efforts, what could have been a frustrating experience turned into a truly memorable one.
A heartfelt thank you to Chris for such outstanding customer service, we are incredibly grateful and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff very friendly and helpful, food was actually very good and breakfast in the morning didn’t disappoint. lovely village location near train routes, and easy access to Glasgow Centre. I would definitely stay again.
Only gripe was the room was warm, but it was middle of a heat wave and I don’t expect the hotel to air con so not their fault.
There for the Scotland game. Having been charged 10 pound a ticket, they didn’t remove anyone who didn’t have one resulting in poor seats, did not offer us the free drink from the ticket and refused to guarantee our seat when the week before they’d said it would be ours due to an early booking. Really poor service all round.
Location was good. But I do not usually eat breakfast so unable to comnent .
Nothing
Great location on the south side, handy for various pubs and restaurants if you want to get out and about. Short walk to railway station.
Das sehr freundliche Personal und der Pub, der mit zum Hotel gehört.
Wir hatten Zimmer 5 und der Abzugskamin der Küche lag direkt neben dem Fenster. Man wusste also immer, was gerade gekocht wird…..-;) PS: Das Badezimmer ist schon arg eng.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
we came for a wedding which was in a hotel close by so location was perfect.
