Wish we could have stayed longer!
Pros:

Everything was wonderful! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming the room was nice and clean. We also really enjoyed the easy access to the river walk.

Give it a big Miss.
Pros:

It was a convenient place to stay after a long drive. Would have preferred to keep driving !!!

Cons:

The late inflexible check-in after a long drive in torrential rain - there wasn’t even anywhere to sit before the 3:00pm check in - it was such heavy rain and we had to wait in the car.
At 3:00pm when doors finally opened there was very little hospitality except more explaining of the further rules regarding our stay!
The accommodation was very basic, the staff almost rude, the restaurant only just because there is nothing else.
Would never stay again.
For the price it was really terrible.

Pros:

Stunning view from room and around the area. Breakfast is good with plenty of fruits .

Cons:

The washing room is too small. The washbasin is too small, have difficulty to wash and brush teeth. And the bathing cubicle is rather small.

Friendly staff, best beds in NZ, great view, simple country style retreat.
Pros:

One of the world's best views from your room and the dining room. Room was large and comfortable - beds were the best we had in NZ! Some snacks in the room would have been nice. Restaurant food was simple but nice. I few more options would have been better. Even had nice 0% beer (Asahi). Games for kids was a nice touch.

Cons:

Breakfast was a bit simple - a couple of hot items and some pastries would be nice. It could really use a fireplace for ambience.
