Very clean
Friendly
Excellent location for touring. Free Private car park a bonus
Stairs were very narrow, but to be expected in such a historic building.
The facilities were very good. Exceptionally comfortable bed with crisp white bedding.
Toiletries provided and a good standard.
The staff were very friendly and helpful letting us leave our bags on the last day so we could explore the area until we moved on.
The food was filling, delicious and well presented. The breakfast had a large choice and set us up for the day.
Very close to the bus and train links and St Austell brewery. Although it is up hill. ( Note, the brewery will be closing for refurbishment in a couple of weeks)
A visit to the church next door is well worth it . Check out the font and the golden dove from above.
The walk along the river to Pentenwan beach is also a must.
Being an old building the upper floors are out of kilter lol so don't think you have had too much to drink.
Location was excellent
Steep stairs to rooms. Very hard to get suitcases up with no help offered. Also when departing to the nearby station/bus station, you need to get a cab. Fortunately one came on time.
Gemütliches Zimmer in einem gemütlichen Hotel
Es war sehr beengt im Zimmer mit Reisetasche und Koffer
Breakfast was excellent freshly cooked and piping hot plenty of it drinks topped up good choice for us all tried a variety of things
We could eat in and the menu was very good. It is well placed for access to the town and the bus and railway stations
There are a lot of stairs but no lift - understandable in a building if its age and position
Everything. Staff were all very friendly and efficient, nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Would definitely stay again if we’re ever in that area.
Breakfast was unbeatable, so much choice and everything freshly made to order. And the evening meals were lovely too, my husband even said the fish and chips were the best he’s ever had. I had the Sunday roast, it was just like my mum used to make, delicious!
Nothing not to like!
Great location.
Very good breakfast. In fact we ate in every night and the food was of excellent quality and plentiful, as well as being good value.
The car park was first come first served, which made for a stressful return each evening.⁹
Very welcoming and friendly
Nothing
B&B
The shelf placement in the bathroom was a bit too eager to catch our heads!
The young weekend staff, both male and female were excellent.
Foreign male waiter / barman likes touching men.
The lady with glasses would not take no for an answer. I had to say several times i didnt want a full breakfast only toast and tea but she wouldnt believe my answer and thought she knew better.
Everything
Nothing
Staff friendly
Good breakfast, poor shops etc in town centre
Veryhilly
The food was excellent and all the staff friendly and efficient our room was large and the bathroom lovely
The window boxes were dead the matting in the entrance was dirty this made us very anxious when we arrived that the hotel was run down. Inside and the bedrooms though where definitely not run down
