Location
Unfortunately, the experience fell well below expectations due to several issues encountered during the stay. Firstly, there was a leaking roof in the property, which was both inconvenient and concerning. In addition, the fridge in the room was broken on the first night, meaning we were unable to properly store food and drinks.
What was most disappointing, however, was the poor level of customer service provided at check-in. The receptionist was particularly unhelpful and did not appear interested in assisting with the issues raised or making us feel welcome.
For the unit we got, it was value for the money
The rustic atmosphere took us back in time
Location is perfect, nearby all the places we wanted to go to
The large jacuzzi in the unit made up for lack of swimming pool at the property
No shower cream at bathroom ground floor
Great location, well appointed, great view from the balcony. Breakfast was great and staff were friendly and helpful.
Room servicing was a little slow on some days but was generally ok, I found the bed to be quite hard and not really comfortable. The advertising stated that there was a pool, however this has been converted to a fishpond so that really needs updating.
Good location and very large place
We booked two beds and a sofa bed for 5 people but when we arrived there were only two beds so we paid for an extra bed
The extra bed only come with the mattress, it's like you are sleeping on the floor so we ended up not using the mattress bed, we wouldn’t have booked this place if it only slept 4 people instead of 5
For breakfast, we need to pay for an extra person even though when booking for 5 people
Good location, with eateries and shops around.
Rooms are dated, towels provided are smelly and not well laundered. Except two toothbrush, no other amenities were provided. Was told to get shaver from 7/11.
Some of Jacuzzi water jets not working, water stopper was spoiled so to fill up tub, need to stuff the hole with toilet paper. Also the tub leaks.
It is a unique and historic hotel. You can get to Street Art and Chulia night market just by walking. Many restaurants and cafe around.
Nice and welcoming staff, decent breakfast
This boutique hotel was dreamy! The history lessons throughout the hotel are so eye opening. Each room is like stepping back into the past.
While the room was amazing, there was no sound isolation in the room. So if you are sensitive to sound don’t stand on the Hutton Street side, it’s a busy street with an auto shop right outside.
The staff, especially in the restaurant, was very friendly, courteous, and helpful
The facilities in the room. The jacuzzi did not work well. Whenever you shower, the water from the shower cubicle will leak out and floods the whole bathroom. The shower handle holder was not able to hold the shower handle. The connector of the wire connecting the handle to the room phone was broken, making it impossible to make a phone call.
