What a fabulous hotel. Our room, with balcony, overlooking the Bosphorus was superb, immaculate, beautifully designed with a well-equipped and very lavish bathroom.
Sadly we only stayed one night before continuing our journey but we will definitely return.
We only have good memories of our stays with the Shanghai-La Hotel Group and think that one of their USPs is their exceptional customer service and warm welcome from all members of the team. You are really made to feel as if you are a most welcome guest.

Pros:

We stayed at the hotel as a family with our two children, and we had a truly wonderful experience. The facilities were luxurious, comfortable, and perfect for a family stay. The hotel's location is exceptional, offering breathtaking views of the Bosphorus.
Every member of the staff was warm, kind, professional, and always willing to help. We especially enjoyed the excellent service at IST TOO Restaurant, where the staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our stay.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Ms. Cansu Büyük from Guest Relations. She was incredibly kind, supportive, and always greeted us with a warm smile. We are also very thankful to Mr. Alper Kutluata, the Duty Manager, who was exceptionally helpful, professional, and a true gentleman.
These two wonderful individuals represent the outstanding hospitality of the entire hotel team and made our stay truly memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Cons:

As a family traveling with two children, including a 1.5-year-old baby, we found that the hotel was not the most suitable choice for young families. While the hotel itself is beautiful and offers excellent service, it does not have an outdoor swimming pool, a kids' club, or dedicated children's facilities and activities. If you are traveling with very young children and are looking for a family-oriented resort, you may want to consider other options.

Location wasn’t the best that Istanbul can offer , staff charged me at check out claiming it’s room service , i have never paid for room service before in a HOTEL in my life & it was a significant amount of money for daily room service , also the value for money it was overpriced while I stayed there

Pros:

Staff are super nice, when we complained about the state of the carpet and smell they immediately took action and offered us a room upgrade and concierge did their best to assist when needed

carpet, smell from the toilet, Aluminum Rail is very outdated, state of the room and hotelis tired, i believe pictures are filtered

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön, alles top, außer der Spa Bereich, leider zu alt und nicht gut in Schuss.
Cons:

Der Wellness Bereich, SPA, Sauna,
Dampfbad ist alt und die Sauna war lauwarm. Grundsätzlich aber ein sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal.

Wir kommen gerne wieder.
