Nice old hotel, probably needing an upgrade
Pros:

Nice old building. Friendly staff. Room was comfortable and clean, but would benefit from an upgrade (rooms were being quietly renovated nearby). Didn’t get breakfast. A number of restaurants nearby.

Cons:

Probably a little far from the main action in Georgetown.

Pros:

The room was a stand alone with a terrace facing the jetty. Great for that morning coffee or evening drink. The staff all spoke great English so it was easy to communicate and the room was recently renovated.

Pros:

Prime location within walking distance to center of Georgetown. Overall the hotel itself is good and well manage. Rooms was comfortable and pleasing. Staff are all responsive to question and request.
Breaksfast is good but limited to certain option only - no buffet. However that understandable to avoid waste.

Lovely hotel in the heart of georgetown
Pros:

The building is nice and offers character of Penang with some antiques displayed in the hallways. The location is wonderful and it's easy to walk everywhere around Georgetown as it's centrally located.

Cons:

The rooms themselves didn't have a lot of character but were more than sufficient and clean. The staff were happy to bring more water and the water was in glass bottles which I like much better than plastic.

Nice stay in well renovated traditional style hotel.
Pros:

A traditional style and very nice foyer, with friendly and helpful staff. My single room was pretty small but bathroom was good.

Cons:

The Pool is very small and shallow. My aircon was a bit noisy.
