I wish I wasn't staying for a day
The position is fantastic right near the centre of Anchorage close to all amenities including the bus services.
The water pressure could be a little stronger.
Pleasant front desk, good location.
Hotel restaurant closed early because the computer system was down. Apparently the staff never heard of paper & pencil, talking to the chef and taking cash ( which we offered).
Wonderfully designed and furnished rooms, with a modern but cozy feel. Everything went smoothly and we were very comfortable.
The only hiccup was about a 20-minute span late at night, when we heard repeated shuffling, light bumps on the wall, etc. next door. It turned out that we were next to a storage room where an employee had been assembling a portable crib. I’d recommend that the hotel place guests away from this sort room as much as possible.

This hotel is brilliant. It’s clean. It’s spotless. The staff are friendly. The cleaning staff are friendly. The reception staff are friendly thank you to Maria Jessica and Kameron who were delightful to check in the end on the four occasions that I checked in over 2 1/2 weeks. It’s got a wonderful atmosphere. They work very hard to keep it clean. It is now the place for me to stay in Anchorage. I would not stay anywhere else. Well done to everybody at the wild Birch - please keep it up. I stayed in a few hotels in Alaska and frankly their idea of cleanliness is shocking this Hotel was wonderfully clean completely spotlessly clean so thank you. I enjoyed my stay with you.
