Location great, gorgeous rooms. Lovey court yard. Food and wine delicious
No negatives
Great location - proximity to river, Kenton Theatre and town. Ease of access to room - just one short flight of stairs. Was able to check in early. Beautiful courtyard for drinks. Lovely staff.
Parking was a bit tight, but great that it is provided.
Staff were very helpful. Breakfast delicious. Cocktails delicious also. A great spot for visiting Henley.
We had the suite which was fantastic also right in town
We loved it all
Lovely hotel and rooms.
The bathroom was fantastic and large. The room was comfortable. The service from staff was always charming. Breakfast was wonderful
Location was just right, good safe parking.clean rooms and bar credit for not having the room for second night stay
Couldn’t fault,
The location was good, right near the town centre. The room was a good size. The staff, on the whole, were friendly. When we mentioned the problems with our stay an attempt was made to rectify it however we went there for a special occasion and it didn’t feel very special. If we’d had known that the hotel was no better than a premier inn we would haves have booked that and saved some money.
The room was ‘tired.’ There were cobwebs and spots where the walls were chipped and the plaster was showing.
The service in the restaurant was confused and disorganised. Our wine came out before our cocktails. Our sides didn’t appear until we asked for them. It felt like the team wasn’t cohesive and didn’t have clear roles and responsibilities. This led to a stressful dining experience.
Nice building and centrally located close to the river
Even if I booked for three person two adults and one children and they knew being eleven at out arrival they asked a charge for the third bed. It makes no sense charge directly the rate showed, otherwise seems no sense. It is an attitude of low cost planes for a high priced hotel. Really something that pisses off customer. I wonder where the children should sleep if I did not paid the surcharge. And once again the presence and the age of the children was declared since the beginning
Situation in middle of town and near river.
Lovely courtyard and indoor bars.
Very spacious and comfortable room with fabulous bathroom
Breakfast was disappointing on our first morning ( continental) however very good cooked breakfast on second.
Service in bar and at reception was slow ( reception staff member was serving in the bar so we had to wait for her to check us in ) . We were charged a service charge in the bar despite waiting 15 minutes for our drinks to be served.
There is no lift and stairs are very steep.
Great staff
I was upgraded to a beautiful room overlooking the courtyard.
Nothing.
Really unique
My car couldn’t fit into the carpark
Clean, smart, location.
Limited gated parking but was lucky enough to have a space.
Booked afternoon tea on the website for during the regatta. Arrived at the alloted time and was told that afternoon tea is not available during the regatta, but would check with the chef if they could put something together. The member of staff checked their website and confirmed that afternoon tea should have been taken off as a bookable option, and he was very sorry and wanted to make it up to us. The chef sadly didn't have anything available, and the member of staff was very apologetic and said we could order off the menu and everything would be charged at the afternoon tea rate. We were given a complimentary glass of champagne, and sat in the courtyard and had a wonderful lunch. The food and the service was first class, and we were looked after impeccably.
I'm sorry I couldn't remember the chaps name, but he was absolutely brilliant and treated us so well, and we will definitely come back for our afternoon tea.
Fantastic location, comfortable room (deluxe), good breakfast and bar, relaxed environment. Room felt updated and bed was very comfortable. Loved the tub. Breakfast offering was good. Staff were nice and professional. Courtyard was nice to sit in
I was offered a free drink in exchange for not having my room cleaned, which I accepted. However, the free drink was actually a voucher for £7.50, and unfortunately there aren’t many drinks available at the bar for this price other than soft drinks and a few lower end beers. I wish I had known this beforehand- I ended up still paying for my drink (albeit at a discounted price).
No water bottles in the room.
I also found a short black hair in my bed- definitely not mine!
I had meetings at 08:45 so wish breakfast was offered a bit earlier… 0800 felt a little rushed.
Rain shower head wasn’t really working properly so I used the handheld.
From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen the right place. Hotel du Vin Henley is in a fantastic location right next to the river, making it perfect for a relaxing stay and for exploring the beautiful town of Henley-on-Thames. The hotel itself is full of character, having been thoughtfully converted from a former brewery while still retaining all of its original charm. It has a unique atmosphere that makes it feel both historic and welcoming.
The rooms were stylish and comfortable, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming.
A very special mention has to go to Sunny ! on reception. She was absolutely brilliant throughout our stay always greeting guests with a warm smile, cheerful, approachable, and genuinely happy to help. She never stopped being positive and professional. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her exceptional customer service really made our stay even more enjoyable. She is a real credit to the hotel and deserves recognition for the fantastic job she does.
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and left already looking forward to our next visit. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel du Vin Henley to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful riverside setting with outstanding hospitality.
Thank you to the whole team & we'll definitely be back!

No lift, steep stairs for my wife who although not disabled struggles on stairs and no warning beforehand. Very poor choice in bistro in evenings and costly.
Beautifully restored and tastefully furnished
