I recently stayed 4 nights at Mercure Serpong Alam Sutera, and overall it was a pleasant stay with a few areas that could be improved.
One of the highlights was the friendly and helpful staff throughout my stay. Their warm attitude really made a positive difference and was the main reason I am giving this hotel a good rating.
I was also happy to receive a room upgrade, and the upgraded room was spacious and comfortable. What I appreciated most was having both a round table and a banquet-style table, which made it very practical for setting up all my belongings and gadgets during the stay. The welcome amenities were also a nice touch and added to the overall comfort.
That said, there are a few things that could be better. The hotel has only one restaurant, so the food choices are rather limited. Another point to note is that the hotel does not serve alcohol, including for the welcome drink, so guests expecting more beverage options may want to keep that in mind.
The pool area is nice and looks relaxing, although I did not get a chance to swim. I also noticed that the pool bar was not operating during my stay.
The gym was the weakest part of the experience for me. It is simply too small for the number of guests. One morning I saw around five to six people already inside, and I immediately gave up and went back to my room. The equipment also does not seem to be maintained as well as it should be, and one of the treadmills in particular needs extra caution when using it.
Overall, I would still give this hotel 4 stars, mainly because the crew members were genuinely kind and helpful, the upgraded room was spacious, and the stay was comfortable. With a better dining variety and an improved gym experience, this hotel could be even better.

Good hotel with beautifully decorated rooms. It has nice accomodating personnel and a wonderful pool. The bed was really comfortable!
The tables in the breakfast area are top heavy, if you lean on them while sitting down the table may topple over. Be careful!

I arrived to check at 2 pm but my room was not ready. I was tired from needing two flights to get there. The point too is that I had paid for the room up front. So legally that was my room. I think I had to wait until nearly 4 pm
Great hospitality from the staff all around! They accommodated me perfectly even with my late night arrival.
