Pros:

So glad I only booked one night. It gave me hostel vibes. I Had booked city view room but didn’t get this at first. When I went to reception he just kept saying I’d booked a cheap room and only family rooms had city view. He did move me eventually. Although I saw them cleaning the room it felt dirty and was very dated. Much better hotels for same price.

FANTASTIC. Hidden gem. My 2nd stay and will stay again. Nice room, comfy bed, great AC, Wi-Fi. PERFECT location in the heart of the old city area, the lake, the Cathedral. Near many restaurants including next door to a fantastic craft beer brewery. Neighborhood has character. On-site quick & cheap laundering. On-site activity bookings. On-site Manager “Lucy” is the best: she got me the best room, booked my local activities & taxi, made solid recommendations, and was extremely professional & friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Disappointed.
Pros:

Nothing. Just location.

Cons:

Water wasn’t running, AC didn’t work and they didn’t give us towels. They didn’t even apologize and offer discount. We had to go to another hotel.

Bon hôtel milieu de gamme très bien placé à Hanoï
Pros:

Le personnel est très agréable, souriant et accueillant, et ils parlent très bien anglais
La chambre est bien, pas extraordinaire mais bien. Ok ça ne brille pas mais je n’ai pas trouvé que c’était sale comme disent certains commentaires
La rue de l’hôtel est hyper mignonne et le lac est à 5 min à pied.

I enjoyed staying here and would stay again.
Pros:

Excellent staff, very helpful and kind and patient. Crazy furnishings that gave a great feel to the room. Location is excellent and walking distance to everything in old town.

Cons:

It was a bit weird that every item in the room was lusted with a value in case you broke something but at least it was clear and upfront.

Good location and friendly staff. We rented two rooms. Although the bedding had been changed, both rooms were in rough condition and haven’t been thoroughly cleaned for some time. One of our rooms happened to be the one featured on the hotel’s website. The pictures must have been taken 20 years ago or more. The furniture, walls, floors and fixtures have not been maintained since. It’s too bad as the location itself was good for the old quarter. We’ve stayed in simple but clean hotels in the old quarter in the past but this one needs some work.
