We enjoyed the one night in Amsterdam.
Pros:

All in all we really enjoyed the stay. It was a little cold at times and one heater wasn’t working properly. But no big deal. Breakfast was great. Including options for gluten free.

Cons:

It was nice that hotel organized taxi. However the price was advertised as 40 but we had to pay 50. That was very dissappointing. Please make sure you have accurate information. We likely would have called for an uber. Other than price the service was good.

Great little canal hotel
Pros:

Excellent little canal hotel. Atmosphere (suits of armour and cannons in the reception!?) and great value. No fuss check-in etc. Really can't complain and will stay again.

Cons:

The Amsterdam staircases. You have to be ready to lug your suitcase up stairs. That's part of the charm when the whole Grachtengordel precinct is heritage listed.

Pros:

Location is good at the Jordaan area. Quiet at night. Near to the 9 street, near to the Prinsengracht stop.

Cons:

Actually for the price paid for a single room like where I stayed.. it's a bit steep. It's not shower gel but a bar of soap provided. If you want any beverages you need to go to the ground floor to get.

Sweet Hotel on Canal
Pros:

The old fashioned decor made it feel cosy.
The location was excellent.
The breakfast room has a wonderful view of the canal bridge and all the cyclists.

Cons:

Our double room had absolutely no view at all, just a white concrete wall. It was the same price as our friends double room that did have a nice canal view.
However that view was obscured by scaffolding and men working on the scaffolding so there was no privacy. An email advising of this situation would have been nice.

El edificio no está reformado por dentro, el baño de la habitación se ve viejo. Yo reservé tres noches y no limpiaron la habitación durante mi estancia.

Um agradecimento mais do que especial aos funcionários portugueses, que foram simplesmente maravilhosos. Extremamente simpáticos, atenciosos, prestativos e sempre com um sorriso no rosto. Fizeram com que nos sentíssemos verdadeiramente bem-vindos. São profissionais assim que tornam uma estadia ainda mais especial. Merecem todo o reconhecimento e elogios!
