Pros:

Hôtel charmant et très bien situé. Chambre magnifique avec vue sur les canaux. Petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet, complet.

Excelente ubicación, muy cerca de todo, sobre un canal y en una zona muy linda. Muy cómoda la habitación aunque difícil para llegar y un buen desayuno.

We were so pleased with the hotel. Very well maintained. Staff, breakfast, location all excellent.
Pros:

The location was excellent and the breakfast options exceptional.

Cons:

The room was very warm in the summer. Perhaps two standing fans in the larger rooms would be nice.

Een perfect centraal gelegen hotel voor een citytrip.
Pros:

Het hotel is centraal gelegen en heeft een authentieke ouderwetse Amsterdamse stijl. De kamers zijn comfortabel en rustig. En het personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De ontbijtruimte is gezellig en geeft uit op de grachten.

Cons:

Eigenlijk weinig minpuntjes. De trappen zijn redelijk stijl, maar dat hoort bij de ouderwetse stijl he. Voor de rest kan ik niets negatief bedenken.

Charming, historic hotel in central Amsterdam
Pros:

This is a very nice hotel full of historic Amsterdam charm. The staff are very helpful. The lobby and sitting areas are lovely. The hotel offers free snacks and espresso 24/7. The breakfast room is spacious with a corner view of the bridges at the intersection. Our room faced the canal and had an amazing view all day (and even at night).

Cons:

I'll make this a little humorous: I often see Booking reviews where people complain about the noise even though they booked a hotel right in the center of town. I often find this amusing; they want a hotel close to everything but are upset about the noise. That said, this area -- at least in the middle of summer on hot nights (with the windows open since there is no aircon) -- is VERY noisy. And well into the night -- like 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. People yelling, laughing, talking, walking by. So, if you want a quiet room, do not choose the rooms facing the street/canal in the summer.

All that said, I would stay at this hotel again. It's a great spot.

Pros:

Location is the only good thing to say about this hotel. Breakfast is OK. We had to wait, along with many, many people to check in. They had two room cleaners out sick and did not have backups.

Cons:

Leuk hotel voor weekendje Amsterdam
Pros:

Erg vriendelijke mensen aan de receptie. We hadden de bovenste kamer en het uitzicht over de Prinsengracht is erg mooi! Ideale locatie om meteen in het centrum te duiken.

Cons:

Wij verbleven er maar 1 nachtje, dus enkel een rugzak die mee moest op de trappen. Als je zware bagage hebt is dit wel wat moeilijker.
Uiteraard is het een levendige buurt, dus als je gevoelig bent voor lawaai, dan is dit mogelijks wel een nadeel.
