Good location, traditionally themed hotel which made it more homely and interesting . Coffee was good breakfast ok, good bathroom, with great shower. Staff were helpful and pleasant
Only small things, not much fruit at breakfast, no tea or coffee facilities in room and bathroom door squeaked quite a bit

THIEF INCIDENT DURING BREAKFAST – MONEY STOLEN FROM ROOM
The hotel is located in a very good area, the building is beautiful, and it has the charm of a well-maintained historic hotel. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were generally friendly and polite throughout my stay.
Unfortunately, my overall experience was ruined by a very serious security incident. During breakfast hours, while I was away from my room for a short period of time, money disappeared from inside my wallet in the room. This was extremely shocking and upsetting, especially because guests should be able to feel safe leaving their belongings in their accommodation while using hotel facilities such as breakfast service.
What made the situation even more suspicious was that a small piece of plaster was founded on the floor afterwards which used to be directly next to the cash section inside my wallet, exactly where the money had been stored. It looked as though it may have fallen there while somebody was removing the cash. This detail made me feel strongly that my personal belongings had been searched through and money was taken by someone while I was away from the room.
After discovering the theft, I immediately contacted the police, and an official police report/document was issued regarding the incident. The situation was serious enough to involve law enforcement, and the case is now officially documented. Refer to attachments and the case ID - PL1300-2026133668-2.
What concerns me most is that the theft appears to have happened specifically during breakfast time, when many guests naturally leave their rooms unattended. Future guests should be extremely careful with cash, valuables, passports, and electronics. Do not assume your belongings are secure simply because you are staying in a reputable-looking hotel. This hotel does not have cameras on floors except for ground floor.

Läget är perfekt för att promenera runt i centrala Amsterdam. Ligger i stadsdelen Jordaan som är lugnare/mysigare än de mest centrala turiststråken. Nära till buss 397 som går till/från Schiphol. Man fick tydlig info om att hiss saknas och att trapporna är branta. Skulle gärna bo här igen (även om jag skulle undvika sommarhalvåret). Bra frukost.
Avsaknad av a/c (eller markis) då det var +26-28C och kraftig morgonsol. Upplevde också att ventilationen var sådär. Personalen var väldigt reserverad men hjälpte till om man frågade.
I travel to Amsterdam often for business and have visited many hotels of the same category. The Wiechmann is absolutely the best. The staff is always helpful and smiling, and the rooms are charming, breakfast is very good and varied and the location is 5 minutes from the metro. I personally will always stay there.

Spent 5 nights there, they never changes the sheets or towels. Pretty average service, the staff were pretty uninspired.

I loved the Anne Frank Museum and The Keunof Tuilp Gardens n Gierthorn Village
Well The Trash cans rt next to the breakfast area were overflowing into the streets the entire stay
Trash was overflowing everywhere actually throughout Amsterdam! Most filthy city in the world other than in India...so disgusting and gross...I would not b surprised to hear about a plague from rats in near future-so disappointed!
The canal had floating trash a couch and plastic wrapped up in the propeller on our canal boat tour.
And people urinating all over the streets n in the water in public!
And a taxi Wendy front desk person called for us that was arranged 1 day before never showed up-1.5 hrs later one came and we had to pay the taxi $135 to get to our your n meet them.
Wendy said we should b reimbursed n she would call the company but nothing happened.no money back
No communication from it other than an email I was copied in with taxi company-
The hotel should have reimbursed us and than dealt with the problem with taxi service.Very upset about this! I want my money back-
Also what kind of place runs out of yogurt-we literally had to buy our own plain yogurt because they can't order food properly-
I recommend just going to Amsterdam 2-3 tops go to Brussels n Belgium n Paris while in the vicinity.
Position
The location was awesome,right in the heart of the city and walkable to get around. The trams were close by. The rooms were quite small, so a little tight but everything was very quaint and like the traditional houses you would imagine. Just a lot of stairs to lug your bags up. So if you can’t do stairs this might not be for you.
Breakfast was decent, not a huge spread but it got the job done.
Beautiful historical canal house perfectly located near Ann Frank museum. Accomodating staff 24/7, excellent breakfast included, comfortable & quiet.
4 floors on very steep narrow set of stairs , with no elevators! 3rd and 4th floors Not suitable for elderly or anyone with any mobility impairement. 4th floor was very hot. I believe there is no ac but windows open.

Mal insonorisé, on entend le bruit de la route ainsi que celui des autres chambres. Le parquet assez ancien craque lorsqu'on marche. Pas de nettoyage de la chambre durant le 3 nuits de séjour. Supplément TVA demandé en plus du prix payé
