The staff were so friendly and helpful that I returned for a second stay. The food was delicious.
Clean, Comfortable bed.
We booked this property so we could specifically have a pool afternoon after 2 days of travelling before moving on. Annoyingly, the pool was closed for general use as there was a wedding taking place. Whilst this was annoying I think it may have been a blessing in disguise as the pool was exceptionally dirty and it was very difficult to see the bottom and had a worrying green tinge to it.
I made several requests to hotel reception about airport transfers VIA booking.com but the hotel didn’t respond to a single one of my questions. Fortunately it was easy enough to get a grab taxi but communication was very poor.
Our room had a lovely sea view but but was very rundown and our bathroom absolutely stank of dirty, stagnant water. Our children also had a room and their bathroom was fine but there is clearly a problem with general maintenance.
It would appear that the complex’s is made up of two distinct buildings as we were in building 2 and this one is very old and run down.

The rooms in the old wing are looking for renovation. Especially the bathroom could do a make over.

On the positive side, the hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The pool area was also nice and well maintained.
The rooms were overall okay. They are a little dated and could use some modernization, but otherwise they were in acceptable condition.
Unfortunately, the bathroom had a very strong and unpleasant smell, was not clean, and clearly needs urgent renovation. The condition of the bathroom significantly affected our overall impression of the hotel. (Photos attached.)
Overall, the hotel has some good aspects, especially the service and the pool area, but the poor condition and smell of the bathroom had a major negative impact on our experience and rating.

Rooms are very dirty, smell and old - stay somewhere else
The pool looked nice but was closed as we arrived late. Check in/out was easy.
The rooms are dated and dingy, smell of mould, one of our party (3 rooms) requested a different room due to the smell. The restaurant was apparently open for dinner but finding staff was hard, and once ordered waited over an hour for the meal and we were the only diners. The pictures look great but really dont portray the overall experience of staying there.

Angel, the Hotel Manager did everything possible for my friend and I whilst we stayed at Kristal Hotel - all staff were delightful, Saturday morning traditional music was super and in short a great stay. I would only stay there if in Kupang in the future
