Nothing at all honestly
I book for family room . But they gave me very small room . We was 4 of us . Hardly we can walk in room don’t have any space for suitcase.
Bed are too small and old . No ac only one fan they gave us. Shower too small water coming very slowly.room size too small can’t even breathe. It’s paid parking but they don’t have enough I was looking for 2 hours.lift is very small. Nothing in there as they advertise on pictures. Pool are very dirty . Its waiting money
Not worth it.
Great location
Hot water failed . No fridge
The staff were absolutely amazing. Helpful and friendly.
Sounds petty but the bathroom was very small and my children had difficulty climbing into the tub to shower . Only one window opened in the bedroom but there was a fan so no drama.
Price did not mach ?
Friendly and helpfull staff and good in house entertainment, and a good selection of food for breakfast
As it has been so hot the hotel room was very warm so hard to sleep
Bistro
My room was small no aircon, my key card didn't work, 5 times I came down, I have emphysema copd, I was not not well, as I get get very breathless.
I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. It was far too expensive for what it offered and did not provide the facilities or services that were advertised in the description. One of the main reasons I booked it was because it claimed to have a sea view, but there was no sea view at all, which was very misleading.
The overall experience was poor, and I do not feel it was worth the money I spent. For the same price, I could have stayed in a much better hotel with proper facilities, better service, and an honest description of what was being offered.
I feel misled by the advertising and would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good value for money.
Location was good
Room was very dated and extremely hot , no fan was supplied as advertised kettle on/off switch was partially missing, tv was at AC crooked angle on the wall. Shower was very small and there was a hole in the bathroom door
Pool
No air conditioning pool staff Let kids play in pool without any be corrected
The facilities were extremely good and the spa staff were very helpful and attentive. The lifeguard was really helpful too. As I have a disability it's important for me to feel cared for but not patronised. The above staff were very good and I would definitely have a treatment again and use the pools.
We were originally meant to stay in the Derwent but were put over across to the Victoria. The room was very bare and looked in need of a facelift. There were marks on the walls and it looked in need of a good overhaul. Breakfast is ok apart from the manager known as Becki who was very rude and abrupt with us for no reason. The staff at the breakfast at the Victoria were on the whole helpful. I had originally been booked to the Derwent and was moved over because my room had a fault in it. I had previously been to the Derwent with my partner and we really enjoyed it so I bought my friend this time to celebrate my 50th so wanted to impress her.
The location was the only good thing about it.
Nothing like the photos. It is extremely outdated. The staff didn’t seem to know anything when asking them things. The outdoor pool was filthy- green algae all around the outside, wouldn’t let my dog swim in it! The elevators don’t feel safe for 2 people let alone 4 as it states is the maximum usage. Complained to staff about how it is nothing like the photos, they said they were in the middle of a refurb, all I could see getting refurbished was the carparks. The stair cases and corridors are extremely narrow- no good if there was ever a fire and everyone had to rush through them. We ended up checking out after 2 hours! Only thing that was nice was the bathroom in the rooms. Ended up booking in a lovely b&b up the road.
The location was great
Everything inside the hotel is very run down and doesn't represent the photos they show you. It's like going back to the 1970s
The decor was tired , not as nice as the Carlton , the swimming pool had scaffolding up , would have been nice to know that before we booked , breakfast was ok. but the staff were miserable, showed us to a table , no mention of where the food was or how it worked ,miserable , we have stayed at the Carlton a couple times , which is more comfortable, , the room at the Derwent was clean , but the bed wasn’t comfortable, and the decor was tired and basic
The pool was closed for most of the day because somebody smashed a glass in the pool area so it was shut for the whole day, very dissapointing when you have young children
Daughter disabled in wheelchair told them that when booked moved to 3 rooms as window ledges were falling of then went to soft play closed cash machine didn’t work so couldn’t play arcades staff couldn’t do cash back went back to wake at 4 am with 2 pigeons in our room pooed on floor then waited 20 mins to get lift down with wheelchair as all guests suitcases were out in pathway at 7am so went down from r breakfast and carried wheel chair down stairs then outside had to do it again as coaches were picking up there passengers had to carry wheelchair all the way back up as the lift was full of elderly coach trip suitcases a have lived her 26 years a go a to swimming very often and a will never use any of ur hotels or facilities again a only went for the night as a treat as a was getting ma work done in ma property in plainmoor it’s disgusting a can also send u the photos and videos it’s dirty
Everything ur hotels r not disabled friendly and more is ur standards r disgusting and u book trip for elderly people a had to help 2 orderly ladies down ur steps at the derwent as there bus driver would not help them so a also had to leave ma disabled daughter at bottom of stairs with her brakes on obviously but ur staff had no interest or concern for me ma disabled daughter or the bus fulled of elderly holidaymakers it sickens me
