Cons:

Very steep and long road back to hotel from Bowness on Windermere. Guests should be made aware of this when booking.

The bedroom was spacious and very clean

Cons:

Customer service is lacking, no interaction while waiting for breakfast or at the bar.
Lots of tables used, not re-set long waiting time on two of the days. Last day was better

Pros:

The overall experience has been really enjoyable. The hotel is cozy and the atmosphere relaxed. The room, the view and the food were all very good. A special thank goes to Claire and Luise for their great service and kindness from breakfast to dinner.

Cons:

I had the feeling that the quality of the experience depends on the room you are assigned to. We were first placed in a "classic" room that was not nice at all (old furniture, no view, blind bedroom). When we said we were not happy they were really kind and offered an "occasion" room and from there everything was really nice!

Could be so much better
Pros:

Breakfast service slow, too many staff doing separate things, to long a wait to be seated, order taken and served.
If you had a schedule you'd be screwed.

Great location but some issues.
Pros:

We liked the location it was perfect to access the local town and dinning spots. The swimming pool and sauna was a great touch to our stay. The parking being free and right outside the hotel was great.

Cons:

Room:
The TV was very old and not a smart tv which was disappointing. The fan provided was very dusty and the mattress was very springy.

Breakfast:
The service is very slow and I requested for some more orange juice mutiple time and it never arrived. The salmon had a weird smell and the menu was limited.

Pros:

Great food selection for breakfast and excellent service!

Cons:

Very minor point ... pity we needed to book a time slot for the pool. But fully understand, as it gives you a nice private time as a group :) So, on reflection, not really a negative issue :)
