The Fontaine

Tashae and Ryan were fabulous! They took such good care of us at check in. Such a smooth process and got to check in a little early!

My stay at the Fontaine Hotel was absolutely outstanding. Although I was only there for one night while traveling, it was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time.

The room was beautiful, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable, allowing me to get a great night’s rest after a long day of travel. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a spacious layout and a wonderful overhead rainfall shower that added a touch of luxury to the experience.

What truly made my stay memorable, however, was the exceptional service from the staff. When I checked out in the morning, I was greeted by Ryan and Tashae, who were both absolutely fantastic. They welcomed me with genuine smiles, asked about my stay, and made me feel valued as a guest. Their warm personalities and friendly conversation—even sharing a few laughs—made an already great stay even better.

I would also like to recognize the wonderful woman who checked me in around 3:00 AM. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but after arriving exhausted from traveling, she was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful in getting me settled into my room quickly. Her professionalism and willingness to help were greatly appreciated, and I am very thankful for her hospitality.

From the comfortable accommodations to the outstanding customer service, every aspect of my stay exceeded expectations. The Fontaine Hotel has earned my highest recommendation, and I would gladly stay here again in the future.

The location is incredible. You can walk several places easily, and it feels really nice inside. The facility itself is beautiful, trendy, and well decorated. Pool was nice.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience at The Fontaine during our stay in Kansas City. The staff was exceptional from start to finish. Gawana set the tone from the moment we arrived. Her warm, lively personality immediately made us feel welcome, and every conversation felt genuine rather than rehearsed. It was clear she truly cared that guests were having a great experience and would have wanted to know if they weren't. That level of authentic hospitality is rare and made a lasting impression on both of us.

Hailey behind the bar was equally outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and always made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.

The rooftop area was a great place to relax, and I even had to take a few work calls from the bar area, which provided a comfortable atmosphere without taking away from the experience. The food was surprisingly good as well. I had the burger both days because it was that good, and my wife and I looked forward to spending time there each day.

The rooftop pool is spacious, well-maintained, and a great place to spend an afternoon enjoying the views and atmosphere together. Between the excellent service, great food, and beautiful amenities, The Fontaine impressed. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kansas City. 5 stars!

Hailey was the most amazing bartender. We came for a quick stay, pool day and she made the pool a blast. 10/10 service.

We had the most incredible experience at the Fontaine rooftop pool and bar. Hailey the bartender was so attentive and knowledgeable. She made sure we were taken care the entire day. Gawana the manager met us with the warmest welcome and made us feel right at home. I would recommend the Fontaine to anyone who’s looking to come to KC and enjoy a beautiful rooftop pool day. The hotel is also incredible. I’ve stayed here 4 separate occasions and it’s never disappointed! 5 stars!

The hotel in Itself was great, the room was awesome and super clean, with comfortable bed and pillows. Unfortunately then came dinner time. We were seated and left to ourselves 20 minutes at a time between one order and the other, the place was about empty (my wife and I were alone in the upper seating area). My wife ordered the BBQ jumbo shrimp and I ordered the osso buco.
The shrimp were said to be Jumbo in the menu and served with gnocchi, the shrimp were tiny and there was no gnocchi in it when we told the server (who was super kind) he came back and said the kitchen had no more gnocchi. I mean, if you run out of something let me know and we pick something else. The good thing is that they allowed us to grab something else and did not charge us for it. We got the salmon which was delicious.
The osso buco was overcooked and had really dry and chewy skin, but the vegetables that came with it were really good.
Then I ordered another beer and it took about 18 minutes to get the new one.
It's unfortunate but they need to improve their kitchen skills and service time (THE STAFF WAS SUPER KIND BUT SLOOOOOW).

All in all it was an ok experience.

The front desk staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They took the time to chat with me about my thrifting adventures and made me feel right at home. Their friendliness and genuine interest made my stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality Shomari and Lake!
