We loved the heritage building, the location, the fluffy white towels, the inclusion of conditioner in the bathroom as well as shampoo, the comfortable bed.
A lack of power points - although expected in such an old property
Grand, regal, tastefully, charming… a magical palace with long winding corridors filled with treasures from a time in history long forgotten. A historic landmark from the 1850s beautifully kept in original decor. Amazing! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and went beyond to assist me. Big shout out to James who makes the best coffee for you just because he can…
Nothing …
Customer service was efficient. Room was great.
Lovely room and staff
Room was a bit too warm and needed to open the window
It is close to everything we want to go to and suprisingly quiet given the location. I love all the prints in the common areas, particularly all the Lindsay prints.
The lift was a bit scary and there are still stairs you have to navigate. I also was not aware that we would have to park in the street and pay.
Restaurant was booked out on Friday, ordered room service was quick food was cold. No freshly squeezed Orange Juice for breakfast. Difficult getting to room with steps in passage way. Likewise getting in and out of bathtub based shower. TV confusing to operate.

The character and history
Nothing
Lovely old building. Full of character and apparently a resident ghost on level 2 if you're interested in that type of thing. Full size bath in the room without paying extra.
The food menu was a little small. Curry of the day was a sweet potato curry which I declined. Would of been interested in something more mainstream like Chicken Korma, butter chicken beef madras etc. the elevator was a pain but this is a heritage listed building.
I don't eat big breakfasts, The toast, spreads and coffee was just right.
The little courtyard view from the dining room, the chandeliers and the glass roof, all very attractive.
The bed was a tiny bit hard, Room 127, but the fittings, the beautiful decore, everything was excellent.
As a woman travelling alone, it was nice to have a single bed in an attractive room. I felt I belonged.
