Beautiful old building, wonderful bar and dining. The staff are friendly and the hotel is clean and well appointed.

Cons:

The bedroom and bathroom were a great size but the mattress was just too firm, and I like a firm mattress

It was liking stepping back to an age where travel was an extravagance of elegance.

We didn't have breakfast, but had lunch and dinner, both delicious and good value for money

Pros:

I have a room with the setting sun coming through the window.

The room is VERY warm, tried turning the A/C unit on to find it is showing a service fault.

Ring reception to be told that they are aware there are a number of A/C units not working.

Ok, so now for me to cool the room down I have to open the window.

With what my company has paid, how about getting the damn thing repaired or, better still, advise us in advance so-as we can find a hotel with a working A/C unit and a hotel that actually looks after their clients.

Now just in case you need this spelled out for you, yeah, I’m not happy.

Considering the number of times I have been to Ballarat and stayed here, I’d have expected much better🤔
