St George's Hotel

The staff were not at all cooperative or helpful. Although the room was booked for three people, arrangements for tea/coffee had only been made for two . I had to go all the way down to reception to request for another set( no telephone connection in room), as there was no lift, and then had to wait while the staff collected the additional items from the storage area. Considering the room had been booked for three people, I believe it was the hotel’s responsibility to ensure that everything required was provided in the room before our arrival, rather than asking the guest to come down to reception and collect it.

Furthermore, both the booking information and the email stated that luggage could be left at the hotel before check-in if required. However, there was no clear information that luggage would be left entirely at the guest’s own risk. We were asked to leave our luggage in the reception area, but we were then informed that the hotel would not take any responsibility for it. This should have been clearly communicated in advance.

Most importantly, the behaviour of the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Their manner of dealing with customers was very disappointing, and they lacked basic courtesy and customer service. Overall, the experience was far below what I would expect from a hotel and has left me very dissatisfied.

Pulizia pessima. Polvere ovunque un vetro rotto sotto al lavandino del bagno e del cibo sul davanzale della finestra. Manca la porta per chiudere il bagno. Fortunatamente ho fatto solo una notte.

L'allotjament nefast. El servei deixa molt que desitjar. Una desgana en tot. Una falta d'higiene... Molestos per queixar-nos de que no hi havia llum al lavabo i tampoc funcionava la cadena del vàter. Llençols bruts... Horrible.

No lift, poor water pressure on 4th floor, very dated and carpets worn out on stairs so could be trip hazard

No plug for the sink
No shelf in shower to put toiletries
Cold tap was hot
Hot tap was cold.
Carpet felt dirty and its very old and worn out.

I liked their service

Almost everything else. I'm sure this used to be quite a lovely hotel, a few decades ago. Now it's just run down, dirty, with non-functioning electrics, and a very strong smell of air freshener, to a sickly level.

Stanza piccola ma garbata, intonaco un po’ cadente ma sommariamente stanza e spazio gradevole!

Ausência de uma cozinha ao menos pequena e que pudesse ser compartilhada pelos hóspedes.

The property was not clean at all, the lampshades were ripped and covered in dust, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and stains on the carpet. The view from the window was nothing but an overgrown garden absolutely covered in stinging nettles, we booked a twin room and was only given one cup and not even a single tea spoon, there was hair in the shower the staff were not welcoming at all and when we left the man behind the counter was just plain rude. The decor of the place was shocking and some of the wires were taped up for electrical products. We would NOT stay here again.

Bed base was broke so slept on mattress on a broken bed room was clean thou did report the base sed it would be ordered happy with room thou orther than that

Very dated decore, could do with new carpet, lick of paint needed inside & out, new wallpaper plug socket coming off the wall, window frames rotting, dirty windows needing a clean.
