I have had two great stays in 2026 at Calistoga Motor Lodge
Pros:

Second stay at Calistoga Motor Lodge this fall! Which says a lot. Enjoyed poolside lunch and drinks both days. Walked to dinner down the street.

Cons:

No issues at all.

Good option for Calistoga if you travel with a pet.
Pros:

Very good accommodation, dog friendly, great staff, fantastic Spa. If you want to get massage, Saidy is highly recommended.

Cons:

If you are traveling with a dog, there is very limited amount of grass for dogs. You can smell chlorine from the pool 20-30 feet away. My hope was to have some mineral water in the pool.

Cons:

1. The water pressure in the shower is too low, making it difficult to rinse off all the soap. Also, the shower area is not separated from the rest of the bathroom.
2. The floor is uneven.
3. The mirror is crooked and has fallen off several times. Fortunately, I was able to catch it each time. This is a serious safety concern.

Will definitely stay there again!
Pros:

It was a perfect choice for grandparents bringing their grandchild.
They've done a fantastic of fixing this old motel up!
I like that they had a very thing on site! So you really don't have to leave the property.
The pools, restaurant and bar were all very nice!

Cons:

It looks like at one time there was an easier way to get from the Adult only pool to the bathrooms
However, I noticed a lot of people having to walk all the way around the outside area through the main pool just to get to the bathrooms!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful location with a great kids pool and restaurant despite dated rooms.
Pros:

We lived being able to have our dog stay with us. The kids pool was nice with cabanas for free.

Cons:

The older motor lodge rooms are showing their age. The bathroom is tiny. The fixtures are old. The shower dripped all day. There are no surfaces to place a toiletry bag. No hooks or space for towels. There are no phones so you call the front desk on your cell phone. The front desk answered the phone about 25% of the times I called.

Will stay here again on our next trip to Calistoga!
Pros:

We stayed in the camper studio for a long weekend. It was a clean and comfortable room with plenty of space. Amenities were great. The pool was lovely and so were the spa services. The restaurant had great food options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Downtown is about a 15 min walk and even faster bike ride away. Loved being able to rent a bike at the front desk. All of the staff were so welcoming and friendly.

Cons:

The shower in the camper studio is small and the curtains didn’t really contain water from splashing onto the floor.

Cute paint job didn’t make up for ants & noise
Pros:

We stayed here because we saw it was dog friendly and looked great online. The paint and decor was cute and there were some amenities but the pros didn’t make up for the cons. We were really disappointed. There were ants in the room, stains on the carpet, and the food was wildly overpriced ($50 for an egg dish, fruit and coffee). The walls were thin and we woke up to our neighbors at 3am. The air conditioning didn’t really work so it was hot. We talked to them at checkout and, to their credit they did waive the pet fee, but weren’t overly helpful. Wouldn’t stay again.

Has a 2ft childrens pool and their pizza is heaven on earth!

Cons:

It was a little walk to downtown but its doable if you are not traveling with a little one or just driving.
