Bellissima posizione con aree comuni che si affacciano sul lago con dei panorami e tramonti meravigliosi. Buona l'offerta della colazione, staff cordiale e accogliente.

Cons:

L'hotel si trova all'interno di un edificio storico, ciò comporta fare tre piani di scale a piedi... ma ne vale la pena! il mio compagno non in ottima salute ha avuto delle difficoltà a fare le scale, non so se chi ha handicap ha ausili per l'accesso.

Perfect characterful holiday destination with lovely staff and a true Italian feel
Pros:

We stayed in the Hotel for ten nights in June. It's situated right in the centre of Castiglione in a big old 17th or early 18th century building with lots of original features and a thriving restaurant on the ground floor - in fact the restaurant (La Cantina) is the real high point of the hotel. The food was amazing, and probably the best in Castiglione. Although there are indoor dining rooms, the outdoor terrace with awnings overlooking the lake is the real jewel. We had breakfast there each morning, and we had dinner three times in our 10 day stay. The service was overwhelmingly good. This is a place where local families come for special events, too, and we were the only English speaking tourists staying there. The rooms are on first sight basic, but in fact are superbly equipped. The bed was superlative and we had the best sleep we've had in years. the bathroom was modern and well designed, the shower was excellent, the aircon was silent. The windows had shutters the outside, then a pull down fly screen, then double glazed windows. Once the windows were closed, the room was completely silent (our room overlooked a small cafe outside - never an issue). The staff are wonderful too, especially the lady who looks after breakfast - she made our stay very special. Important to note that there's no dedicated reception desk, and you have to go to the restaurant reception counter to get your room sorted on the first night, and to pay your bill on the last night. Not a problem at all, just don't expect a 24 hour reception. Everything was spotless and the room was serviced every day. Castiglione del Lago is a fortified medieval town and everything is within easy reach. There are at least a dozen good places to eat within a 3 minute stroll from the hotel. And 2 gelato shops. And a really good leather shop, for belts etc. The lakeside eateries are a 10 minute walk down the hill (bit longer coming back up, right enough....

Cons:

The hotel was perfect for us. But important to mention that the railway station for Castiglione is a 35 minute walk from the hotel. If you're coming by train, recommend stopping at Terontola and taking a taxi the rest of the way. Also there are good local car hire establishments in Terontola - Alexander delivered a car for us to the square in Castiglione.

Posizione ottima (sebbene un pochino rumorosa), personale gentile, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
Pros:

posizione, vista della terrazza/giardino, gentilezza del personale.

Cons:

la pulizia dei punti più nascosti/meno visbili della camera/bagno (es. intorno alla parte inferiore del bidet e del water). Inoltre purtroppo i piccoli animali della terrazza (uccelli, gechi...) spesso pasteggiano con il cibo dei clienti costrigendo i clienti stessi ad allontanarli o a buttare il cibo perchè ormai toccato dagli animali. La struttura è molto bella, ma gli arredi sarebbero da rivedere

Hotel is a sideline to fantastic restaurants
Pros:

Comfortable and clean. Our room looked out on lake. Right in town center. Fabulous hotel owned restaurant right downstairs. Bonus was rooftop deck.

Cons:

This is a large restaurant company that has some hotel rooms. We and other guests had difficulty getting anyone to answer the door because all the staff works in the restaurant. Their restaurants and shops in town are gorgeous. If only their international designer could spend a couple of days decorating the very bland hotel rooms and common areas.

Zimmer klein, aber hübsch eingerichtet und sehr sauber.
Sehr gutes und vielfältiges Frühstück auf der Terrasse des Restaurants mit Seeblick.
Im Restaurant kann man auch gut Abendessen.
Sehr freundlicher Empfang.
Wunderschöner Blick von der Dachterrasse.

Cons:

Auf der Dachterrasse wäre eine gemütlichere Sitzgelegenheit fein gewesen.
